The FBI’s conspiracy against Donald Trump is unraveling.
Under James Comey’s leadership, the FBI engaged in an unprecedented covert spying operation to try and destroy Donald Trump’s Presidential campaign.
Now the smoking gun has been made public and it’s bad news for Comey.
The watchdog group Judicial Watch – as well as some media organizations – filed a Freedom of Information Act request to gain access to the FBI’s application for a FISA warrant to spy on former Trump campaign aide Carter Page.
Over the weekend, those heavily redacted documents finally became public.
And the warrant proved President Trump and his supporters were correct; that the FBI lied to the FISA court about the nature of the “evidence” they had used to obtain the warrant against Page.
In the application, the FBI concealed the fact that the Clinton campaign had hired Fusion GPS to contract with a “Source #1” – ex-British intelligence agent Christopher Steele – to put together the dossier.
The application read:
U.S.-based law firm had hired the identi?ed US. person to conduct research regarding Candidate #1?s ties to Russia (the identi?ed U.S. person and Source #1 have a long-standing business relationship). The identified US. person hired Source#1 to conduct this research. The identified US. person never advised Source #1 as to the motivation. behind the research into Candidate #l?s ties to Russia. The FBI speculates that the identi?ed US. person was likely looking for information that could be used to discredit Candidate #l’s campaign.
In addition, the FBI lied to the FISA court on three separate occasions that Steele was not the source of Michael Isikoff’s September 23rd Yahoo article, which the FBI had used to corroborate the allegations that Page had traveled to Russia and colluded with high ranking officials connected to their intelligence agencies.

The application backed up every allegation made by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes in his memo outlining the FBI’s various abuses of power in obtaining this warrant.
Donald Trump responded to the news tweeting:

On top of lying to the FISA court in order to obtain the warrant to spy on Page – which because it allowed the FBI to retroactively review Page’s communication, it also gave them access to emails from the campaign – the warrant also destroyed a cornerstone of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.
If the FBI indeed believed Page was an agent of the Russian government, why hasn’t he been charged?
Mueller recently indicted a 29-year-old Russian gun rights activist for acting as an unregistered agent of the Russian government.
The FBI spied on Page for nearly a year – the FISA warrant was continued three times for 90-day periods.
And yet there is no evidence Page colluded with the Russians or acted as their agent.
