Not all Republicans believe in the America First agenda of President Trump.
Some are just waiting for the right time to turn on him.
And you’ll never guess which Republican just backed Nancy Pelosi on impeachment.
Democrats are moving full speed ahead in their long-awaited attempt to impeach President Trump.
They know that if they don’t impeach him, he will breeze through re-election in 2020.
But without Republicans on their side, they are doomed to fail.
And now there are a few Republicans willing to side with them.
Vermont Gov. Phil Scott has become the first Republican Governor to back impeaching President Trump.
He calls impeachment “appropriate” in response to the fake news allegations relating to a call between Trump and the Ukrainian President.
“I think we have much more to learn and need to understand all the facts as this serious allegation is considered,” he said. “Congress has a solemn responsibility to every American to fulfill its role in our government system of checks and balances.”
Of course, as everybody now knows, the “whistleblower” claims that Trump threatened the Ukrainian President to force him to investigate are false.
The call transcript proves that fact, along with Ukraine coming out to say that the call was “nice,” without any threatening undertones.
This isn’t the first time that Scott has criticized President Trump.
Over the summer he went to bat for Ilhan Omar and her anti-Semitic “squad” by claiming that Trump criticizing them is “racist.”
“Like many across the country, I find these statements offensive, racist and certainly not what we expect from the leader of the greatest country in the world,” he said, according to Valley News.
He seems to have no problem with the horrific statements made by “squad” members Omar and Rashida Tlaib.
After stating that U.S. support for Israel is “all about the Benjamin’s,” Ilhan Omar received compliments from former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke, who called her “the most important member of Congress.”
And later on, both Omar and Tlaib were banned from entering the state of Israel over their support of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
The BDS movement, whose founders advocate for the elimination of the Jewish state, calls for businesses to cut ties with Israel.
Ultimately, their goal is to financially bankrupt Israel in order to weaken their defenses.
Without the financial ability to defend themselves, Palestinian terrorists would destroy them in a heartbeat.
So Trump’s criticisms are based on the “squad’s” beliefs that would ultimately result in the destruction of a top U.S. ally.
But Gov. Scott simply wants to be a darling of the left-wing media and will ignore all the facts available to do that.
Scott’s support isn’t surprising.
He is from the far-left state of Vermont.
This support will do nothing to harm him in the eyes of the far-left voters in the state.
But the media will play it up to make it seem as though there is some sort of Republican resistance to President Trump.
