Robert Mueller’s free reign is over.
The special counsel has been able to wage a campaign to destroy the Trump Presidency.
But now Mueller realizes his time is up because of one bombshell development.
John Dowd has been one Donald Trump’s lead attorneys in the Russia probe.
Dowd has argued for a strategy of cooperation and not confrontation with the special counsel.
That strategy has gotten Trump nowhere.
Mueller has been able to leak stories to the press to frame every development in a negative and ominous light, even though they amounted to nothing in terms of proving collusion.
Those days are over.
Dowd resigned over a disagreement in strategy as Trump shifts to a more confrontational approach to Mueller.
NBC reports:
“NBC News’ Kristen Welker reported on MSNBC on Thursday that the decision behind the departure was “mutual” between Trump and Dowd and came amid “a lot of discussion about a potential shake-up with the president’s legal team.”
Trump is looking to add to his team, Welker reported.
The departure also came amid “very sensitive negotiations” between the president’s legal team and the special counsel about a potential interview of Trump. The president said Thursday that he would like to talk to Mueller.
Dowd’s exit, coming just days after Trump hired Joseph diGenova — a longtime Washington lawyer and former U.S. attorney who has promoted a conspiracy theory that officials in the FBI and Justice Department are plotting to frame the president with a “false crime” — also signals that the president could be entering a more combative phase with the Mueller probe.”
Trump hiring diGenova – who has stated he believes the FBI and DOJ framed Trump for a false crime during the Russia investigation – was foreshadowed by Trump attacking Mueller by name for the first time.
The Mueller probe should never have been started in that there was no collusion and there was no crime. It was based on fraudulent activities and a Fake Dossier paid for by Crooked Hillary and the DNC, and improperly used in FISA COURT for surveillance of my campaign. WITCH HUNT!

Trump is following the successful strategy laid by Bill Clinton during the special prosecutor investigation into his administration.
Clinton cooperated with Kenneth Starr, but his surrogates and legal team would routinely blast Starr’s ethics and political motivations in the press.
In the end, it allowed Democrats to remain united behind Clinton because they viewed the inquiry as Republicans trying to undo the 1992 and 1996 elections at the ballot box.
Are you glad to see Trump has decided to take on Mueller?
