For many years Roger Stone has been a solid ally to Donald Trump.
Many believe it was Stone who convinced him to run for president in the first place.
That’s why Robert Mueller has made him a target, and just found one thing to zero in on to try to put him behind bars.
The Left’s Worst Enemy
If there’s one thing Roger Stone is known for above being a man of style, and a close long-time confidant of Donald Trump, it’s his ruthless attitude to politics.
He is known for being a political bulldog who fully dedicates himself to propping up his friends, and destroying his enemies.
That’s exactly what he did for Donald Trump when he ran for president in 2016.
Many of the most effective stunts have later been revealed to have been orchestrated by Roger Stone.
The now-famous moment in the campaign when Donald Trump invited a number of Bill Clinton rape accusers to a nationally televised debate with his opponent, Hillary Clinton, was launched by Roger Stone.
So to say that he’s an opponent of the left is an understatement; he truly is their worst enemy.
A Prime Target For Mueller
When Robert Mueller began his special counsel investigation into Trump, Roger Stone was one name that continually came up.
In the eyes of Mueller, it seems that if somebody on the campaign colluded with Russia, it would be unsurprising if it was Stone, who is known for oftentimes gaining an edge by playing unfairly.
And compared to others in Trump’s campaign, they had a solid-sounding case of circumstantial evidence based on a series of unconfirmed news reports creating a case against Stone.
The most highly circulated claim about Stone is that he communicated with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange about the Hillary Clinton email leak.
That claim is unconfirmed, and while Stone did admit to talking to Assange, it was in no way anything out of the ordinary.
But because Stone alluded to WikiLeaks is about to post something about Hillary Clinton just days before the Hillary Clinton email leak made it seem as though they worked together.
Considering that it is popularly believed that it was Russia that did the dirty-work in hacking Hillary Clinton’s emails, any communication between Assange and Stone would immediately become of interest in a collusion investigation.
But as it turns out, the information Stone revealed about WikiLeaks dropping something about Hillary Clinton didn’t come from Assange, it came from a radio host.
Subpoenaing A Radio Host To Get To Stone
Radio host Randy Credico and Roger Stone have a long history together.
But now, the latest thing bringing the two together is a subpoena by Robert Mueller for Credico to testify before Congress.
Roger Stone talked with Credico during the 2016 election in a series of emails that reportedly began as friendly before escalating into clashing insults.
One thing in those emails that could either exonerate Stone or be bad news for him is the allegation that it was Credico who was communicating with Assange, not Stone himself.
It is believed that it was Credico who told Stone about the Hillary Clinton email dump, which is not troubling for Stone if it is found to be true.
But what could be bad for Stone, and in turn, President Donald Trump, is if it is revealed that Stone was actively communicating with Assange through Credico, attempting to collude with Russia through him.
There is no real evidence that occurred, but you can be sure that is what Robert Mueller is hoping he can prove.
