Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s 19-point rout in his re-election campaign established him as one of the leading voices in the GOP.
DeSantis has a lot to say.
Ron DeSantis delivered a truth bomb that you need to know about.
Hispanic voters are the fastest-growing demographic in America.
After Barack Obama defeated establishment RINO Mitt Romney in the 2012 election winning 71 percent of the Hispanic vote Republican elites panicked.
The establishment power brokers commissioned the GOP autopsy report which claimed that unless the Republican Party supported amnesty for illegal aliens it was doomed to permanent minority status.
Donald Trump proved that was not true by winning the 2020 election.
But establishment RINOs never gave up their quest for amnesty for illegal aliens.
Tucker Carlson interviewed Governor DeSantis and told DeSantis about the time he saw RINO pollster Frank Luntz warn Republicans they would never win another election again.
But Carlson noted to Governor DeSantis that he won Hispanic votes in Florida by ignoring this foolish advice and instead pursuing a conservative agenda to crack down on illegal immigration.
“So I once saw Frank Luntz, who is a famous Republican pollster, tell Republican members of Congress that if they wanted to win Hispanic votes, they had to move left,” Carlson stated. “You’re saying you’ve won those votes by moving right.”
DeSantis readily agreed and boasted that as governor he banned sanctuary cities and flew illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard to highlight Joe Biden’s open borders while increasing his share of the Hispanic vote.
“Absolutely, and including on immigration,” DeSantis replied. “My first year, we banned sanctuary cities, and news media thought that that would be not approved down here. And yet, Hispanic voters in Florida had the highest approval rating for our policy to ban sanctuary cities. We did the transport to Martha’s Vineyard, and people thought that this was going to be so bad, and yet, Hispanic voters backed me on doing that because they understand the border is out of control.”
DeSantis rejected the claims made by RINOs like Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, and Mitch McConnell that the Republican Party needed to embrace amnesty to win over Hispanic voters.
“So I think it’s on all of these issues, but clearly, the Republican establishment view that you need open borders and amnesty to appeal to Hispanic voters in the United States is dead wrong,” DeSantis stated. “It was wrong then, and it has clearly been proven to be wrong now.”
The proof is in the pudding.
Ron DeSantis implemented a conservative, Trump-like, aggressive anti-illegal immigration agenda and ended up winning 57 percent of the Hispanic vote in his landslide re-election victory.
