Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is heading into his re-election campaign.
Democrats also chose their candidate.
And Ron DeSantis dropped the hammer on his Democrat rival with a devastating comeback.
Democrat Congressman Charlie Crist won the Democrat primary to take on Governor DeSantis.
Crist, who once served as a Republican governor and lost a Senate primary to Marco Rubio after Crist hugged then-President Barack Obama, has lost statewide elections in Florida as a Republican, an independent, and a Democrat.
On the first day as the Democrat nominee Crist committed a major gaffe.
In the modern Democrat Party expressions of anger at Donald Trump and his supporters is a key way for politicians to signal they are one with the base.
Crist is a political nomad that believes in nothing except his own advancement.
So Crist tried to prove to Democrat base voters that he supported his more leftist rival Agricultural Commissioner Nikki Fried by expressing his hatred for Governor DeSantis and his supporters.
Crist sneered that he did not want anyone who voted for Governor DeSantis to support him because DeSantis backers have “hate in their heart.”

Crist was likely referring to DeSantis signing the Parental Rights in Education bill into law.
This noncontroversial bill simply banned teachers from grooming young children aged five to eight into transgenderism with inappropriate curriculum.
But the woke left – led by the fake news media – pitched a fit over the bill.
However, the polling data showed the massive mistake Crist made.
A Public Opinion Strategies poll found 61 percent of Americans supported DeSantis’ Parental Rights in Education bill.
That number included Democrats supporting the bill by a lopsided 55 to 29 percent margin.
And a recent Florida Chamber of Commerce poll showed DeSantis leading Crist 51 to 43 percent and holding a 54 percent job approval rating among Floridians.
If Crist wants to win the election telling 54 percent of Floridians that they are hateful bigots is an odd way to go about it.
DeSantis responded to Crist at a campaign stop asking the crowd if keeping schools open, rejecting lockdowns and vaccine mandates, supporting seniors and backing law enforcement against Black Lives Matter and Antifa insurrectionists meant you had hate in your heart.
Does loving freedom mean you have hate in your heart? Does supporting law enforcement mean you have hate in your heart?

Democrats fear Ron DeSantis.
Charlie Crist’s job is not so much to win the election as to bloody DeSantis up and slow his momentum ahead of 2024.
But Crist sabotaged that effort by committing a campaign-defining gaffe on day one.
