Sean Hannity’s been at Fox News since the very start.
Hannity’s one of the network’s biggest stars.
And Sean Hannity had one message for Fox News that was impossible for anyone to mistake.
Liberal critics in the corporate media and elected office blame Fox News – and specifically Tucker Carlson and other opinion hosts – for spreading “misinformation” about the coronavirus vaccine.
Joe Biden missed his goal of 70 percent of American adults receiving at least one dose of the vaccine, and the left pointed the finger at Fox News as the culprit.
Democrats ignored the Biden administration relying on failed and dishonest messengers like Dr. Fauci who provided misleading and contradictory information as well as the fact that the administration refused to answer simple questions as to why some Americans were hesitant to take the vaccine.
But recently something changed at Fox News.
Multiple shows featured hosts and medical experts talking up the vaccine’s effectiveness and safety.
And the vaccine does drastically reduce the probability of a severe coronavirus case.
That turn in programming on Fox News culminated with Sean Hannity telling his audience that he took the vaccine and trusted the science behind the vaccine.
Hannity urged viewers to consult a doctor and make their own medical judgement.
“I can’t say it enough. Enough people have died. We don’t need any more death. Research like crazy. Talk to your doctor, your doctors, medical professionals you trust based on your unique medical history, your current medical condition, and you and your doctor make a very important decision for your own safety. Take it seriously. You also have a right to medical privacy, doctor-patient confidentiality is also important. And it absolutely makes sense for many Americans to get vaccinated. I believe in science, I believe in the science of vaccination,” Hannity stated.
Hannity made similar comments in May revealing that he trusted the J&J vaccine the most and encouraged vaccination.
But the day after the monologue, it became clear why Hannity and other Fox News hosts conformed to the Biden administration’s talking points.
CNN reported that the Biden administration pressured Fox News at “high levels” to read from the script the Biden administration provided.
Kaitlan Collins and Brian Stelter reported:
The person who confirmed the conversations cautioned there has been no singular conversation that has played a role in Fox’s coverage of Covid-19. Throughout the pandemic, officials have regularly reached out to Fox News about their Covid-19 coverage. While White House officials often reach out to television networks and other news outlets about their coronavirus coverage, but this outreach is notable given Fox News’ past coverage of the Covid-19 pandemic.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki confirmed on Tuesday that White House officials are in regular contact with Fox News.
The vaccine is a personal choice that every American gets to make for themselves.
But what many Americans object to is the tone of the media coverage and Biden administration’s message about how state and local governments needs to mandate the vaccine, and that the Biden administration supports forcing Americans to take the vaccine.
