This was a moment many Americans were waiting for.
Over the last four years the corporate media treated Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as their darling and never held her to account for her socialist agenda.
And now you’ll be speechless when you see who just shut down Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Kevin O’Leary is one of the co-hosts of the hit show “Shark Tank.”
On “Shark Tank,” budding entrepreneurs pitch O’Leary and his fellow co-hosts on their businesses in the hopes of winning investment capital to get their companies off the ground.
Suffice it to say, O’Leary knows what it takes to succeed in business.
And in an appearance on “CNN This Morning” O’Leary told a stunned group of co-hosts that he no longer invested in businesses in deep-blue states because of the oppressive tax and regulatory schemes that choke off profits.
Instead, O’Leary explained he sent his new business ventures to red states like North Dakota.
“I don’t put companies here in New York anymore or Massachusetts, or in New Jersey or in California. Those states are uninvestable. The policy here is insane. The taxes are too high. We put them in Fargo, North Dakota,” O’Leary stated.
O’Leary then detailed the nightmare he encountered from the electrical grid in upstate New York thanks to local politicians so he sent the project to Norway.
“The regulatory environment is punitive. I had a project in upstate New York behind the grid in Niagara Falls for electricity, a global data center we were building. Eventually it got so bad with the politicians in the local region and the state policy, we moved it to Norway and all the jobs. Norway has it now,” O’Leary continued. “Thousands of jobs coming out of that. That’s New York. Uninvestable. Sorry. Don’t shoot the messenger.”
O’Leary summed up the difficulty in doing business in a blue state like New York by singling out Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as the face of the socialist, job-killing environment in Democrat-run states.
“And AOC, she’s great at killing jobs. She kills jobs by the thousands,” O’Leary added.
O’Leary pointed to Ocasio-Cortez spearheading a successful pressure campaign that forced Amazon to abandon plans to build a headquarters in Queens, New York.
That protest killed thousands of jobs.
At the time, Ocasio-Cortez claimed Amazon received unfair tax breaks.
“Amazon is a billion-dollar company. The idea that it will receive hundreds of millions of dollars in tax breaks at a time when our subway is crumbling and our communities need MORE investment, not less, is extremely concerning to residents here,” Ocasio-Cortez posted on social media.
Ocasio-Cortez kicked up such a fuss that Amazon threw up their hands and quit and announced it would build the new headquarters in Virginia.
Left-wing co-host Poppy Harlow raced to Ocasio-Cortez’s defense.
“There’s a little more to it, but let’s not re-debate that,” Harlow claimed.
“Sorry,” O’Leary snarked back. “I’m just telling you the truth.”
Ocasio-Cortez responded to O’Leary by trying to gaslight people.
“If it’s so ‘uninvestable,’ then why is NYC home to some of the most billionaires in the world? This is what billionaires do. They leverage their power to gain platforms and spread unsubstantiated claims to push policies that are even more favorable to them than they already are,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on social media.
But the proof is in the pudding.
New York will always have a collection of billionaires because Wall Street and major banks are headquartered in Manhattan.
But last year New York State saw its largest population decline in history — 180,341 people fled New York — in large part because the state is bad for business.
