CNN doesn’t want the American people to know what is really going on.
Neither do the leaders of the Democrat Party.
But now Ted Cruz just destroyed CNN with this truth that Democrats are afraid to admit.
Beginning with Alex Jones in 2018, CNN’s so-called media reporters led the corporate media charge to pressure social media companies to censor conservative speech.
CNN’s latest crusade was a failed effort to force Spotify to cancel Joe Rogan.
Rogan earned CNN’s ire by hosting doctors on his podcast who undercut the government and corporate media narrative about vaccines.
CNN later seized on a deceptively edited video from a liberal super PAC to falsely paint Joe Rogan as a racist.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz dissected CNN and the corporate media’s embrace of cancel culture and censorship on the latest episode of his podcast.
Cruz cut to the heart of the matter in that CNN and other corporate media outlets wanted to silence Rogan because Rogan draws an audience of 11 million – far outpacing CNN – and that CNN cannot control what Rogan says.
“Look I’ve really grown to admire Rogan,” Cruz stated. “For those in power having someone willing to dissent with a really big megaphone scares them.
“This is an organized assassination of speech,” Senator Cruz added. “Using the n-word is wrong. Neither you nor I support it — that’s not a word that should be used in polite society.”
The Texas senator compared CNN’s demand that Spotify fire Rogan to how CNN and other corporate media outlets ignored the fact that left-wing radio host Howard Stern once appeared in blackface and repeatedly said the n-word on video.
Joe Biden also twice said the n-word during a 1985 congressional hearing.
But Cruz said no one demanded Sirius XM cancel Howard Stern because Howard Stern serves the regime.
“I will tell you who else is used the n-word repeatedly, Joe Biden. Rappers like crazy. Howard Stern. They’re not canceling Howard Stern. Why? Because Howard Stern is surveilling. Kissing the behinds of those in power. It’s really a shame Howard Stern started out a rebel, and now he echoes the words of the petty tyrants. If you shut up and echo what they say. You’re okay.”
Cruz also pointed to liberal comedian Jimmy Kimmel painting his entire body black for a comedy skit as evidence that liberals selectively employ cancel culture as a method of canceling their opponents.
“If you’re Jimmy Kimmel you can dress in blackface,” Cruz continued. “You can do whatever you want because you’re a mouthpiece for the regime.”
CNN’s scheme to cancel Joe Rogan failed.
That is a welcome development.
And many Americans hope it leads to more companies drawing a harder line against woke mobs weaponizing cancel culture.
