Anthem kneelers have become a huge problem for the NFL.
Ratings have only been getting lower and lower.
And one thing that just happened might be the final nail in the NFL’s coffin.
During last Sunday’s NFL games, the internet was raving about one thing they saw at NFL games across the country.
Or should I say what they didn’t see.
Seas of empty seats were seen across the country.
One Twitter user dedicated to showing empty seats at sporting events showed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Atlanta Falcons game where it appeared to show the majority of seats being empty.

The same user showed the Cleveland Browns vs. Cincinnati Bengals game where the trend was also seen.

Another picture was taken ten minutes before kickoff for the Tennessee Titans vs. Indianapolis Colts game that appeared to show a smaller turnout than some high school football games.

It seems no team was safe from this trend; the Carolina Panthers vs. New York Jets game also appeared to have a ton of open seats just a minute before kickoff.

This trend isn’t surprising.
Things have been spiraling out of control for the NFL since they started allowing players to kneel during the National Anthem.
Ratings have been going down and down, and it only appears to be getting worse.
The NFL has lost 1 million TV viewers during week 11.
That decline in viewership, a 6.3 percent slump, is worse than other weeks with a 5.6 to 5.7 percent decline during the past three weeks.
As reported by The New York Post:
“The TV audience for NFL games steepened its slide in Week 11, losing 1 million viewers versus last year’s season-to-date average.
The 6.3 percent slump — worsening from comparable declines of 5.6 to 5.7 percent during the previous three weeks — plagued a week whose off-the-field drama made gridiron tackling seem almost tame by comparison.”
“Only two games had audience gains.”
It looks like things are only getting worse for the NFL.
It’s hard to be America’s sport when a ton of the players in the sport disrespect the flag and military at every game.
Many don’t think the NFL will survive without cracking down on the kneelers.
