Despite being proven wrong time and time again, some people seem to take the opinions of Karl Rove seriously.
After nearly destroying the Republican Party through his incompetence, Rove wrongfully attacked Trump, stating he could never become President.
Now Rove is back on offense against Trump, and his latest attack will leave you speechless.
On this week’s broadcast of Fox News Sunday, Rove, who was the former deputy chief of staff for President George W. Bush, attacked President Trump over his pardoning of former Maricopa County, AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
When asked about his opinion on the pardon, Rove called it “a bad mistake.”
He also stated his pardon sent “a bad signal for the country.”
“[T]he president is entitled under the Constitution to have an unlimited power of pardon. I think he ill exercised it in this instance. Sheriff Arpaio was found guilty of violating a federal court order for over a year that said to stop racially profiling people for driving Latino or walking Latino, and he openly defied it and said he was going to continue the current policy that the federal court had told him to stop.
And this did not go through the normal routine that pardon applications go through, the Department of Justice. It was drafted inside the White House. It didn’t go through the regular process, review by outside lawyers, I think the president is making a political statement. An ally of his was about ready to go to jail for six months or so, and he stepped in. He had the right to do it. I think it was a bad mistake and a bad signal for the country.”

President Trump has faced immense criticism for his pardon of Arpaio, who has spent many years serving as Sheriff in a county infested with illegal immigration.
Trump has stood strong by his decision, despite criticism from people like Rove.
Sheriff Arpaio has devoted nearly his entire life to law enforcement.
He has always done what he has needed to do to keep the community he was tasked to protect safe, even when it wasn’t the most popular thing to do.
Arpaio has faced extreme backlash from leftists who want to shut down his vigorous immigration enforcement.
Because of this, he was narrowly defeated last year in his bid for re-election as Sheriff.
His loss came as a result of a well-funded smear campaign against his character.
Since then, the left has continued in their crusade to destroy Arpaio’s life, eventually getting him convicted for his controversial use of racial profiling to combat illegal immigration.
Thankfully, President Trump was in office to pardon him.
Since his pardon, there has been heavy speculation about Arpaio’s future.
Many are even speculating that he may run for office.
When asked about those rumors, Arpaio responded:
“I could run for mayor, I could run for legislator, I could run for Senate. I’m sure getting a lot of people around the state asking me.”
What do you think?
Should Arpaio run for Senate?
