Democrats can’t allow Joe Biden to meet Donald Trump in a fair debate.
The results for them would be utterly disastrous.
There’s only one reason Joe Biden managed to survive the debate.
The media’s standards for Republicans and Democrats is completely different.
Joe Biden didn’t get asked about the serious scandals that have come out in the last few months.
Biden’s been accused of sexual assault by a former employee, it came out in the last week that his son received millions of dollars from the wife of a Russian politician and there’s documented proof that he had intimate knowledge of the FBI’s actions targeting the Trump campaign.
Yet none of those were touched on by Fox News anchor Chris Wallace who moderated Tuesday’s debate.
The hardest question that Biden had to face was on whether he would pack the court and end the filibuster.
When Biden refused to give a straight answer, Wallace moved straight away on to the next subject.
However, Wallace had quite a different tone when it came to Trump.
“You promised to repeal and replace Obamacare but you have never in these four years come up with a plan, a comprehensive plan to replace Obamacare…,” Wallace began before Trump jumped in.
“Of course I have. I got rid of the individual mandate,” Trump said while Wallace continued talking. “That is absolutely a big thing. That was the worst part of Obamacare.”
The two both talked at the same time until Wallace said, “Mr. President, I am the moderator of this debate and I would like you to let me ask my question.”
“Go ahead, Chris,” Trump responded.
“You, in the course of these four years, have never come up with a comprehensive plan to replace Obamacare, and just this last Thursday, you signed a largely symbolic executive order to protect people with preexisting conditions five days before this debate, so my question is what is the Trump healthcare plan?” Wallace asked.
It was a loaded question that’s hardly unbiased.
“Well, first of all, I guess I’m debating you, not him. But that’s okay. Let me just tell you something, there’s nothing symbolic. I’m cutting drug prices, I’m going with favored nations, which no president has the courage to do cause you’re going against big pharma. Drug prices will be coming down 80 or 90 percent,” Trump said.
Obamacare has not been a success. It’s caused prices to go up and didn’t bring in the money it expected to since young and healthy individuals chose to opt out and it failed to make healthcare any more affordable.
Trump has the right approach, that the way to make healthcare more affordable is to find solutions that actually make healthcare more affordable rather than making taxpayers pay more.
