There is a new boss at CNN.
And new management wants programming changes.
Now this CNN star is on the chopping block after one spectacular on-camera meltdown.
New Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav installed Chris Licht as CNN’s network president replacing the disgraced Jeff Zucker.
Zaslav handed Licht a mandate to pull back the reins on CNN’s left-wing opinion program and for CNN to return to more neutral journalism where Republicans and Democrats could both express their views and receive a fair hearing.
Sara Fischer of Axios reported Licht would monitor the on-air talent and see who could conform to the new editorial mandates and weed out those strident liberals that refused to tone down their partisan bias.

If talent cannot adjust to a less partisan tone and strategy, they could be ousted, three sources familiar with the matter tell Axios.
Licht wants to give personalities that may appear polarizing a chance to prove they’re willing to uphold the network’s values so that they don’t tarnish CNN’s journalism brand.
Now it looks like Don Lemon may be the first CNN anchor to weed himself out due to an inability to control his partisan rancor and hatred for Republicans.
Lemon went on CNN’s low-rated Democrat propaganda machine morning show “New Day” and took shots at Licht and Zaslav wanting a more balanced approach at CNN by ranting and raving that Republicans were a threat to the republic.
“We sit around and we talk about these things and we want to give this false equivalence to Democrats and Republicans. That is not where we are right now. Republicans are doing something that is very dangerous to our society and we have to acknowledge that. We have to acknowledge that as Americans, we must acknowledge that as journalists because if we don’t, we are not doing our jobs,” Lemon fumed.
Lemon screeched that Republicans were dangerous extremists for supporting an end to Roe v. Wade and also falsely claimed that abortion is a constitutional right.
Lemon also demanded that Republicans answer for opposing abortion and supporting Donald Trump in every interview on every network.
“They have to answer for those questions if they come here on CNN, they must answer for that. If they go on MSNBC, they must answer for that. If they go on ABC, they must answer for that. And they cannot expect to be coddled when they go on to a news organization or if they step in front of a crowd of supporters or voters or Americans,” Lemon added.
Lemon also repeated the big lie that the GOP is now a dangerous collection of extremists seeking to end the American experiment.
“You have the inmates running the asylum basically. You have the extremists because I know there are Republicans sitting out there going, ‘Don Lemon that’s not what we are.’ Maybe it’s not what you are but it’s what the party has become and what you have allowed to happen,” Lemon stated.
The exact opposite is true.
It is Democrats that want to end American democracy.
Should Democrats expand their Senate majority this fall they are openly talking about gutting the filibuster.
Eliminating the 60-vote threshold in the Senate will lead to packing the Supreme Court, amnesty and voting rights for tens of millions of illegal aliens, ballot harvesting and mail-in voting in every state, and a permanent Democrat Senate majority by adding Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C. as the 51st and 52nd states.
As usual, Democrats are guilty of every crime they accuse Republicans of committing.
But Don Lemon is so wrapped up in his hatred of Republicans and Donald Trump that he spreads falsehoods on the air.
And critics wonder if it could end up costing him his job.
