The D.C. swamp just got thrown for a loop.
A bombshell revelation threw the GOP establishment back on its heels.
And this RINO traitor just got hit with a nasty surprise from police that turned his life upside down.
Anti-gun RINO Texas Senator John Cornyn led the GOP establishment’s surrender on the Second Amendment.
Cornyn cut a deal with gun-grabbing Democrats to impose red flag confiscation laws, ban and confiscate firearms from anyone who once went on a bad date and got into an argument with their girlfriend, and imposed a mandatory 10-day waiting period on Americans under the age of 21 from buying a rifle.
Gun grabbers like Cornyn peddled lies this law is necessary because of the tragic events in Uvalde, Texas.
Cornyn and his anti-gun allies falsely claimed that new gun control would have stopped the horrific shooting at Robb Elementary School.
But gun control failed to stop that killer just like gun control failed to stop every other mass shooting.
Cornyn and his pack of anti-Second Amendment radicals received a wake-up call about what really could have stopped the tragedy in Uvalde.
Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steven McCraw testified that there was a system failure by the police from top to bottom that could have prevented much of the loss of life.
“We do know this. There’s compelling evidence that the law enforcement response to the attack at Robb Elementary was an abject failure and antithetical to everything we’ve learned over the last two decades since the Columbine massacre,” McCraw testified.
McCraw testified that just three minutes after the murderer entered the school there were enough armed officers on the scene that they could have taken down the gunman and saved lives.
Instead, McCraw testified that the commanding officer on the scene held back his men from engaging the madman and left the children to die.
“Three minutes after the subject entered the West building, there were a sufficient number of armed officers wearing body armor to isolate, distract, and neutralize the subject. The only thing stopping a hallway of dedicated officers from entering room 111 and 112 was the on-scene commander, who decided to place the lives of officers before the lives of children,” McCraw testified. “The officers had weapons. The children had none. The officers had body armor. The children had none. The officers had training. The subject had none.”
McCraw told legislators that police waited outside the door to the classroom while the gunman opened fire on children, waiting for keys to arrive for the door even though the door to the classroom was unlocked.
“One hour, 14 minutes and 8 seconds. That’s how long the children waited, and the teachers waited in rooms 111 to be rescued,” McCraw continued. “And while they waited, the commander waited for radio and rifles. Then he waited for shields. Then he waited for SWAT. Lastly, he waited for a key that was never needed,” McCraw added.
Gun control was not an issue in this situation.
The police failed to act out of cowardice and incompetence.
But gun grabbers like John Cornyn know the truth, but Cornyn and his fellow anti-gun RINOs also know that the aftermath of a tragedy is the only time they can wave a bloody shirt and extort Republicans with emotional blackmail into supporting gun control.
