Trey Gowdy’s been a thorn in the side of the left for years.
But they had no idea how bad things were about to get.
And Trey Gowdy celebrated one victory that left Democrats seeing red.
During a recent appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Outnumbered,” Trey Gowdy and his fellow co-hosts tore into MSNBC’s Joy Reid for her history of bigoted comments and conspiracy theories.
Gowdy explained to the audience that the one upside to the entire controversy is that no one actually watches her show so Reid’s bigoted conspiracy theories just vanish into the ether of political cable news shows.
”Here’s the good news: her ratings are so low, only the camera operator and her producers and close family know what she says. But what a terrible burden to have to go through life knowing as much about other people’s lives as she does,” Gowdy added.
The main host of “Outnumbered,” Harris Faulkner, pointed out that Gowdy would know about Reid’s ratings since Gowdy hosted “Fox News Primetime” for two weeks and went head-to-head with Reid.
Faulkner took great pride in noting that Gowdy trounced Reid in the head-to-head ratings competition both weeks.
“You would know. You have filled in prime-time with Fox News at 7:00 P.M., and you’ve beaten her. In fact, The Faulkner Focus has beaten her many times, and we are on many hours before. But let’s not make it about that,” Faulkner jokingly stated.
Faulkner added that Reid had a “history of really hideous slurs” and ripped Reid as “a very negative disrupter.”
Faulkner was referring to a scandal that would have sunk anyone else’s career where journalists discovered that back in 2006 Reid posted a number of anti-Semitic and anti-homosexual comments on her blog.
Reid attacked Jewish politicians in personal terms and even mocked one girl’s wealth after seeing photos of her bat mitzvah.
The blog also contained numerous anti-homosexual comments, many of which were directed at then-Florida Governor Charlie Crist.
But one of the ugliest comments Reid posted was promoting the 9/11 conspiracy film “Loose Change” which claimed the Twin Towers were not brought down by Al Qaeda terrorists crashing airplanes into them.
“The fundamental question is: do you believe the official story of 9/11? If you do, great. If you don’t, then everything that happened after that is called into serious question. Even if you’re agnostic, or you tend to believe that al-Qaida attacked the World Trade Center and Pentagon and that the government had no warning such a thing could happen, it’s worth taking a second look,” Reid wrote at the time.
Recently Reid’s begun lashing out at popular Fox News host Tucker Carlson after Carlson mocked her as the “race lady on MSNBC” and noted that Reid lived a privileged upbringing and went to Harvard while at the time smearing America as a “systemically racist” nation.
Unfortunately due to the low ratings that Faulkner and Gowdy noted, few saw Reid’s response.
