Donald Trump and his supporters have been vindicated.
The bombshell Inspector General report proved shadowy forces within the FBI conspired to destroy Donald Trump’s Presidential campaign.
But Trey Gowdy took everything to another level when he went on TV and signed the Deep State’s death warrant.
For months, the FBI’s defenders in the fake news media claimed the Deep State was a figment of Donald Trump’s imagination.
That media line has now been exposed as a massive lie.
Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report revealed the existence of text messages between anti-Trump FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, where Strzok pledged to stop Trump from being elected President.
This message – which was hidden from Congress and may constitute obstruction of justice on the part of the Department of Justice – was impossible to dismiss as just two Clinton supporters speaking in generalities about stopping Trump through the political process of voting against him.
Strzok had just signed off on the Russian investigation on July 31st and was slated to play a major role in the FBI’s probe of the Trump campaign.
Trey Gowdy went on Fox News and blasted the report for revealing the true nature of the partisan bias James Comey and his team allowed to overtake the FBI.
Gowdy declared, “Once [Trump] won, [Strzok] got on the Mueller probe and wanted to impeach him.”
The South Carolina Congressman also declared, “What a dark day it is for the FBI and for the DOJ.”
Gowdy continued on stating that given Strzok’s position within the FBI and his hatred for Trump, that he irrevocably tainted the investigation:
“Some people are going to believe that because Strzok’s level of animus is so high, you can’t remove the taint.”
In an earlier encounter with reporters, Gowdy declared that Strzok’s conduct, “call[s] into question any other investigations he was part of including his role in the investigation of what Russia did in 2016.”
Gowdy’s about face was a bad sign for the FBI.
Gowdy had previously enraged Trump supporters when he defended the FBI’s decision to dispatch a spy to infiltrate the Trump campaign.
He claimed that it was normal and appropriate.
As a former federal prosecutor, Gowdy has shown some deference to the FBI.
But he also uncovered the disturbing scandal surrounding James Comey and his henchmen using the fake news Christopher Steele dossier – which was paid for by Hillary Clinton and the Democrats – as the central evidence to obtain a warrant to spy on Trump campaign aid Carter Page.
So Gowdy going on TV to denounce the FBI and call into question every investigation Strzok was engaged in is a development not to be taken lightly.
Gowdy sits on the Intelligence Committee and chairs the House Oversight Committee.
It is a certainty that Inspector General Horowitz – as well as some of the FBI officials named in the Horowitz report – will appear before Gowdy for questioning.
And that could be the beginning of the end for the Deep State.
We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this story.
