Kamala Harris is a walking, talking political punchline.
Nothing has gone right for Harris since Joe Biden made the disastrous decision to name Harris as his running mate.
And Trey Gowdy destroyed Kamala Harris by exposing this massive failure.
From the moment Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took office they set about opening up the border to mobs of illegal aliens.
By ending the “Remain in Mexico” protocols and revoking Title 42 Biden made it clear that open borders is the policy of the Biden administration.
But the costs are real.
Trey Gowdy explained that since Biden took office 2.5 million illegal aliens attempted to invade the United States.
Gowdy told viewers on his Sunday night Fox News show that the number of illegal aliens attempting to cross the border during Joe Biden’s time in office nearly equaled the population of Chicago, America’s third most populous city.
“The number of unlawful immigrants entering the U.S. is setting records, and those records will only increase in the coming months. It’s estimated there are more than 2.5 million unlawful southern border crossings since President Biden took office. If you’re wondering what that number looks like, it’s about the size that about the size of Houston, Texas or Chicago, Illinois,” Gowdy stated.
Gowdy continued on telling viewers that many immigration experts blame Kamala Harris and Joe Biden’s permissive rhetoric about illegal immigration for inspiring the wave of border crossings.
“Many believe these border crossings are the natural and probable consequence of the campaign rhetoric of both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, they encouraged people to come, and people did,” Gowdy added.
Gowdy stated that Americans expected the federal government to maintain operational control over the southern border and not allow a free-for-all.
“Most Americans believe countries can and should know exactly who is coming and for what purpose. Most Americans believe there should be a process for entering the country, a process that is both logical and emphasizes the needs of this country. Most Americans wonder why the people who have been waiting and followed our laws are denied entry, while this administration proposed policies which innocent people to make the dangerous trek here from South or Central America,” Gowdy went on to say.
Gowdy also noted that in March 2021, Joe Biden named Kamala Harris as his border czar and Harris promised to solve the root cause of the illegal immigration crisis.
But since that announcement Harris has been asleep at the switch while the situation at the southern border spiraled out of control.
“What about those root causes of migration? What precisely has Vice President Harris done about those root causes? The American people are generous and welcoming, especially of those in danger and fleeing persecution,” Gowdy continued.
While Gowdy stated that the American people were kind and generous they did not want “chaos” at the border.
Chaos is exactly what Kamala Harris and Joe Biden created.
A recent CBS/YouGov poll found that more than 60 percent of Americans disapproved of Joe Biden’s handling of immigration.
That is the policy area Kamala Harris oversees.
And Trey Gowdy declared the American people were ready to take out their frustrations with Biden and Harris’ failure on the Democrats this November.
“But Americans do not like chaos, or fraud, or being taken advantage of. To the extent this administration does not get that, I’ll bet that message and others will be delivered loudly come November,” Gowdy concluded.
