The Democratic Presidential field continues to grow.
Another ambitious Democrat just entered the race with the hopes of unseating President Donald Trump.
But Trey Gowdy spoke up and ended their career by revealing this secret.
California Congressman Eric Swalwell is the latest entrant in the Democratic Presidential primary.
The two central pillars of Swalwell’s campaign are confiscating guns – he once threatened on social media to deploy nuclear weapons against gun owners – and the conspiracy theory that Donald Trump serves as a Russian agent carrying out Vladimir Putin’s orders.
But unless you are one of the few Americans who regularly tunes into CNN or MSNBC, you probably have no idea who Swalwell is.
And – as Trey Gowdy explained – his lack of name recognition could prove fatal in a political campaign.
Gowdy appeared on Martha MacCallum’s Fox News program where he discussed the latest developments in the Mueller report.
But he also touched on his former Intelligence Committee colleague’s Presidential chances.
Suffice it to say, Gowdy did not think highly of Swalwell and told MacCallum that no one knows who he is and that his campaign is doomed to failure.
“I think that last voice was Eric Swalwell’s and for your viewers that don’t know who that is, that’s a member of the judiciary committee and intelligence committee from California, he’s running for president, which I’m sure none of your viewers are familiar with and they won’t be a year from now,” Gowdy explained to MacCallum. “So he’s trying to get attention.”
Gowdy also went on to debunk the conspiracy theories Swalwell and his chief patron – Nancy Pelosi – promoted about the Mueller report.
“Nancy Pelosi said that Barr was off the rails, if anyone in the country would understand being off the rails, it would be Speaker Pelosi. This is a guy who was voice voted by the Senate. Democrats loved him. They thought he was an institutionalist, he was going to revive the Department of Justice,” the former Congressman continued.
Gowdy explained that Democrats like Swalwell pushed a baseless hoax for years about Russian collusion.
Now that Attorney General Barr finally released his summary of the Mueller report, they’ve been exposed as liars and frauds.
And they are lashing out and hoping their allies in the fake news media will amplify their attempts to fool the American people.
“What they don’t like is what he summarized in the Mueller report. That’s what they don’t like. No collusion and we decided there is no obstruction of justice. And now, if that wasn’t bad enough, now he’s going to say something as crazy as, we are going to look at the origins of this investigation to make sure the law was followed. That’s what they are upset about,” Gowdy concluded.
Swalwell’s conspiracy mongering on cable news worked well enough to build him a reputation on the left.
But no one regards his candidacy as anything but a vanity effort to build up his name for a future run for office in California.
