House Speaker Nancy Pelosi entertained visions of Donald Trump being dragged from the Oval Office dancing through her head.
Pelosi and her allies thought they finally had President Trump cornered.
But Trey Gowdy put an end to that when he went on Fox News and unleashed hell on Nancy Pelosi.
Democrats and their servants in the fake news media were sifting through the rubble of former special counsel Robert Mueller’s disastrous Congressional testimony.
Before Mueller appeared, Democrats and the media played up the notion that while most Americans didn’t read the book – i.e. never read the Mueller report – they would “watch the movie” – meaning the video of Mueller detailing President Trump’s supposed “crimes” would go viral and cause an uprising among the American people demanding Congress remove the President.
Mueller’s stumbling and confused testimony demonstrated the special counsel wasn’t in command of the facts of the case or his mental faculties.
Appearing later on Fox News to analyze the events, Trey Gowdy pinned the blame on the Democrats.
Gowdy noted that Democrats want to impeach the President, but don’t want to be seen by the voters as pushing for impeachment because it is politically unpopular.
The former South Carolina Congressman explained that House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler dragged Mueller before his committee so Mueller could ‘do their dirty work for them.’
“Before Bob Mueller had uttered a single syllable of the report, 60 House Democrats moved to impeach him,” Gowdy stated. “What they wanted was Mueller to come in and do their job for them — to issue this roadmap that could lead them to impeachment.”
Gowdy also detailed the biggest failing in Mueller’s report – that it was clearly a political attack on the President that turned the American justice system on its head.
“In the criminal justice realm, you are cloaked with the presumption of innocence… unless and until the United States government proves each essential element of an offense beyond a reasonable doubt,” Gowdy continued.
“That it is somehow the President’s responsibility to exonerate himself or prove that he did not do something. You can’t do it, which is why we don’t make people do it in court,” Gowdy concluded.
Mueller’s confession that he did not draft the report that bore his name, nor did he attend many of the witness interviews backs up Gowdy’s point.
Robert Mueller was a figurehead whose declining mental capacity allowed a team of highly partisan Democrats to try and stage a coup against the sitting President.
Mueller admitted that Andrew Weissmann – who attended Hillary Clinton’s Election Night party in Manhattan – ran the show and that included hiring.
Weissmann’s control over the probe was why so many pro-Clinton lawyers ended up on Mueller’s team.
It also explained the bizarre language in the Mueller report claiming the special counsel’s office could not “exonerate” the President.
Democrats and their collaborators in the fake news media spent months demanding Robert Mueller testify.
They should have been more careful in what they wished for.
