The Deep State has waged war against President Trump since the campaign.
That plan is now collapsing.
Trey Gowdy just sent one letter that brought the Deep State to its knees.
Trey Gowdy and other Republicans in Congress have had enough.
They have demanded the Department of Justice produce the memos James Comey leaked in order to kickoff a special counsel investigation.
But Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has been stonewalling their requests.
Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte and Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes were prepared to fire off a subpoena to force Rosenstein to produce the memos.
Rosenstein finally relented and shipped them over to Congress.
After reading them, Gowdy joined Nunes and Goodlatte in producing a letter that described their findings.
Comey’s memos revealed a vain and self-important man who wrote about how much other people complimented him and recounted dinner conversations.
But nowhere in the memos does he accuse President Trump of obstruction of justice or produce any evidence that Trump or his campaign colluded with the Russians.
Gowdy/Goodlatte/Nunes on Comey memos: Comey went 2 great lengths to set dining room scenes..describe..multiple times he felt complimented, & myriad other extraneous facts, he never..mentioned the most relevant fact of all, which was whether he felt obstructed in his investigation

Gowdy/Goodlatte/Nunes: These memos also lay bare the notion that former Director Comey is not motivated by animus. He was willing to work for someone he deemed morally unsuited for office, capable of lying, requiring of personal loyalty, worthy of impeachment

Gowdy/Goodlatte/Nunes: Former Director Comey was willing to overlook all of the aforementioned characteristics in order to keep his job. In his eyes, the real crime was his own firing.

The memos are another piece of evidence that vindicate President Trump.
The “resistance” and anti-Trump media were counting on James Comey’s firing to bury Trump.
But not even Comey will say Trump obstructed justice or that he should be impeached.
The Gowdy letter is just another nail in the coffin of the Deep State’s plan to remove Trump.
