Barack Obama’s criminal conspiracy during the 2016 election was worse than anyone thought.
Each day brings a new revelation that peels back another layer of this mushrooming scandal.
And now Trey Gowdy unmasked this Deep State spy and all hell is breaking loose.
During an interview with Fox News Channel’s Martha MacCallum, Gowdy let viewers in on a secret about the FBI.
Gowdy gave the first glimpse into how the FBI tried to go about verifying the fake news Christopher Steele Russia dossier.
In the course of the interview, Gowdy told MacCallum that during his time on the House Intelligence Committee, he saw an FBI spreadsheet which showed that the Bureau used Clinton hatchet man Sidney Blumenthal as a source to try and corroborate Steele’s wild claims.
“I’ve seen the spreadsheet, Martha, I have seen each factual assertion listed in that dossier, and then I’ve seen the FBI’s justification. And when you’re citing newspaper articles as corroboration for a factual assertion that you have made, you don’t need an FBI agent to go do a Google search,” Gowdy told MacCallum.
“When the name Sidney Blumenthal is included as part of your corroboration, and when you’re the world’s leading law enforcement agency, you have a problem,” Gowdy continued.
Blumenthal is an infamous figure in American politics.
In the 2008 Democrat Presidential primary, Blumenthal urged McClatchy’s former Washington Bureau Chief James Asher to pursue the story that Barack Obama was born in Kenya.
“To the best of my recollection, these are the facts about my interaction with Sidney Blumenthal in late winter of 2008,” Asher told Politico in 2016.
“Blumenthal visited the Washington Bureau of McClatchy, where he and I met in my office. During that conversation and in subsequent communications, we discussed a number of matters related to Obama. He encouraged McClatchy to do stories related to Obama and his connections to Kenya.”
In the 2016 campaign, Blumenthal played an undercover role in trying to smear Trump.
Christopher Steele was not the only Deep State operative peddling fake stories about Donald Trump and Russia.
Blumenthal worked with conspiracy theorist Christopher Shearer – who once promoted the hoax that a then-Vice President Dan Quayle bought drugs from a prison inmate – to shop an eight page memo to the Obama State Department that contained accusations that Trump and his campaign were in league with the Russians.
If the FBI used Blumenthal as a source to verify the dossier, then the FBI once again violated the law by failing to inform the FISA court of the origin of the dossier as well as how the Bureau went about corroborating its allegations.
Gowdy’s interview provides another thread for investigators – there are now three separate inquiries into how the Russia investigation started – to tug at.
The fake news media keeps trying to gaslight the American people that there is nothing to see here.
But Gowdy’s interview makes it clear that the Obama administration’s scheme to falsely accuse Trump of colluding with the Russians was much more intertwined with the Clinton campaign than previously thought.
We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this ongoing story.
