Republicans are facing a moment of truth.
Donald Trump’s first four years in office all come down to this.
And Trey Gowdy was left speechless by what this Republican confessed to him.
The two runoff elections in Georgia will determine control of the United States Senate.
Republican incumbents David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler are all that is standing between Chuck Schumer and complete power in the Senate.
In an interview with former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy who was filling in for Sean Hannity, Georgia Senator David Perdue laid out the stakes for the vote.
“We’ve never had a race like this,” Senator Perdue began.
Perdue also told Gowdy that if Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock won, it would create a clear path for Democrats in Congress to impose socialism on America should Joe Biden become President.
“And we know the eyes of the state are on Kelly Loeffler and me, in terms of trying to hold the line here against this leftist, radical, socialist agenda that the Democrats seem to be bent on,” Perdue added.
Perdue claimed that the fight against socialism on America’s own shores was the defining moment of this generation.
“Every generation has a moment of truth; my dad was in World War II and Korea,” Perdue added. “Every generation has a moment.”
“The eyes of America, and I think the eyes of every future generation, are on us right now here in Georgia. And our responsibility is not to let them down,” Perdue added.
Perdue’s fellow Georgia Senator Kelly Loeffler pushed a similar line of attack in a previous interview with Sean Hannity.
“We are the firewall to socialism in this country… President [Donald] Trump was here last week, he said to Georgians ‘vote for David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, you have to exercise your right to vote,'” Senator Loeffler declared.
Loeffler doubled down on remarks by President Trump who argued that the Democrats in the race were communists and socialists.
“And he’s absolutely right. If we don’t vote, we could see the election of America’s first Marxist senator in this country, right here in Georgia. And that’s why we’re the firewall,” Loeffler added.
If Democrats win the Georgia runoffs it will tie the Senate between Republicans and Democrats at 50 seats a piece.
Should Joe Biden become President, a Vice President Kamala Harris could cast a tie-breaking vote to eliminate the filibuster which would allow Democrats to pack the Supreme Court, add Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico as states, grant amnesty to 20 million illegal aliens and confiscate firearms.
The Democrats having unlimited power is the difference between America remaining a free and prosperous nation and a socialist third world country like Venezuela.
