Nancy Pelosi and Democrats in Congress are waging war on the President of the United States.
But the tide is now turning.
And it’s all because President Trump just gave William Barr the power to destroy Pelosi’s career for good.
When Democrats retook the House of Representatives last year, there was jubilation from the far left.
They finally had the power to attack Trump on multiple fronts and bring his presidency to a grinding halt.
But they may have gone too far in their efforts to destroy the President.
After the Mueller report cleared Trump of any wrongdoing in the 2016 election and declared there was no collusion between Trump and the Russian government to steal the election from Hillary Clinton, Democrats went insane.
Mueller was supposed to bring Trump to his knees, and instead, all that he managed to do was leave the President stronger than ever and destroy the credibility of Democrats in Congress like Pelosi.
So the next best thing to do after Mueller disappointed them was to attack Trump’s Attorney General William Barr and demand that Mueller testify before Democrat-controlled committees in Congress.
There’s just one problem.
Barr has the ability to prevent Mueller from testifying.
As an official in the Justice Department, Mueller answers to Barr.
And Barr has the power to prevent him from speaking to Democrats, something which Pelosi and her allies want very much.
At the same time, Barr himself is being assaulted by a wave of Democrat attacks, including a move to hold him in contempt of Congress.
Now, President Trump made a move to give Barr the ability to destroy Pelosi for good.
Fox News reports, “Attorney General William Barr will have the final say on whether Special Counsel Robert Mueller will testify before Congress about his report on the Russia investigation, President Trump said Thursday.”
“I’m going to leave that up to our very great attorney general,” Trump told reporters. “He’ll make a decision on that.”
This changes everything. Trump has given Barr the green light to deny Democrats their biggest wish yet, getting Mueller to speak to them one-on-one.
“Barr — who has said he doesn’t object to Mueller testifying — has authority to block Mueller from appearing before Congress because the special counsel is a Justice Department employee,” adds Fox News.
“Congressional Democrats have pushed for Barr to release the unredacted version of Mueller’s 400-page report, to no avail. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., have said the actions of Trump and Barr amount to a ‘constitutional crisis.’”
Democrats are walking into a trap by demanding Mueller testify at the same time they attack Barr himself, apparently not knowing what he can do back to them is far more devastating.
“Also Wednesday, the House Intelligence Committee subpoenaed the Justice Department for Mueller’s full report and any underlying evidence. The action came hours after the House Judiciary Committee voted to hold Barr in contempt of Congress for not providing those materials. Barr has until next Wednesday to comply,” reports Fox News.
