But that is exactly what happened when Donald Trump destroyed Barack Obama’s life with this one tweet.
Democrats refuse to give an inch in the government shutdown over funding President Trump’s proposed border wall.
The American people elected Donald Trump to secure the border by building a wall and the President is determined to follow through.
But he is facing intractable opposition by Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi.
So President Trump looked for other ways to build the wall.
Word leaked out that President Trump’s legal team examined using the 1976 National Emergency Act to order the military to build the wall.
Trump confirmed this was the case when he met with reporters before a recent trip to Camp David.
“I may declare a national emergency dependent on what’s going to happen over the next few days,” Trump stated.
The situation at the border is a national crisis.
2,000 migrants per day attempt to pour across the border and into America using phony claims of asylum.
But Democrats deny this reality.
From Nancy Pelosi on down to every fake news reporter in America, liberals act like 400,000 illegal aliens caught trying to enter the country is something to shrug your shoulders at and utter “no big deal.”
But that was not always the case.
When Barack Obama was President he declared the situation at the southern border was a “humanitarian crisis.”
President Trump exposed the Democrats’ shameful hypocrisy when he tweeted out a video of then-President Obama standing in the Rose Garden declaring “We now have an actual humanitarian crisis on the border that only underscores the need to drop the politics and fix our immigration system once and for all.”

That rhetoric is no different than anything Donald Trump says on a daily basis.
But in the age of Trump, Democrats can no longer support policies that were once mainstream in their party.
Trump blasted the Democrats over this hypocrisy on social media.
“There is GREAT unity with the Republicans in the House and Senate, despite the Fake News Media working in overdrive to make the story look otherwise. The Opposition Party & the Dems know we must have Strong Border Security, but don’t want to give “Trump” another one of many wins!” Trump wrote.
Democrats believe if they deny Trump the border wall, that the President’s base will abandon him in disgust before the 2020 campaign.
This fight has nothing to do with policy objections to a border wall.
Chuck Schumer voted for the 2006 Secure Fence Act which provided for 700 miles of border fencing.
Trump is asking for enough money to build an additional 200 miles of border barrier.
The nuts and bolts of this shutdown comes down to Democrats wanting to run Donald Trump out of Washington in the 2020 election.
