Since taking office, Trump has had to clean house many times.
He has had to remove countless officials, many of which have been there since day one.
But one of Trump’s top officials just stepped down and nobody knows why.
Trump’s Counsel Steps Down
Finding loyalty is a hard thing for President Trump.
The entire Deep State being stacked against him makes turning on him an easy thing.
So he continually has to let disloyal officials go.
But sometimes they go on their own.
And just yesterday, his legal counsel in the White House said he is stepping down.
Don McGahn will be leaving in the fall, but nobody knows why.
There are rumors, but no confirmation.
Trump has taken to Twitter and it seems like a no-hard-feelings departure.
White House Counsel Don McGahn will be leaving his position in the fall, shortly after the confirmation (hopefully) of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court. I have worked with Don for a long time and truly appreciate his service!

Helping Trump In 2020
According to Axios, an inside source believes he knows the reason.
That inside source believes McGahn is switching gears to support Trump’s re-election in 2020.
But even so, that doesn’t mean there are no hard feelings.
There is speculation that his decision to step down stems from a disagreement with Trump.
Outlets are reporting that McGahn has been clashing with Trump over rumors of a Manafort pardon.
Those rumors don’t have much substance considering that a Manafort pardon is unlikely.
While Mueller is targeting Manafort simply due to affiliation with Trump, his conviction does stem from a real crime.
It’s a crime revealed due to Mueller’s continuing witch hunt, but a crime nonetheless.
If a pardon does come, it will almost certainly not happen until after the midterm elections.
A pardon prior to the midterms could be a liability for Republicans running for office.
But that actually could lend credence, considering McGahn is leaving in the fall.
He is leaving just prior to the midterm elections.
So if it does happen, it will create further evidence for that theory and Democrats will certainly use it to smear Republicans.
Democrats Looking For Any Trump Scandal
Democrats are looking for any scandal possible to take down Trump and Republicans.
A pardon for Manafort would create a scandal, at least in the eyes of the media.
The media has been ramping up their anti-Trump rhetoric.
CNN has even been publishing stories every other outlet has been retracting.
After catching flak for publishing a story with an uncertain source, CNN has given up caring about credibility.
Even news sources that generally lean left are going after CNN for it.
So you can be certain CNN will spin a Manafort pardon in the worst light possible.
It is unclear if they will convince anybody with their reporting.
CNN is losing credibility and viewership every day.
Compared to Fox News, CNN is doing very poorly with daily viewers.
Their constant negative Trump reporting clearly isn’t doing as well as they expected.
