Trump hasn’t hidden his disdain for the media, even referring to them as the “opposition party.”
He has constantly been at war with them since he took office.
And Trump just pointed out one thing about Roseanne that made the media go ballistic.
The cancellation of the hit ABC show Roseanne earlier this week was a blow to conservative America.
Roseanne was one of the few shows on television preaching real family values and the silent majority that elected Trump finally had a show that represented them.
The extremely high viewership proved that.
ABC loved the ratings that Roseanne provided but hated the show’s star, Roseanne Barr.
Barr has never strayed from controversy.
So when Donald Trump came onto the political scene for the 2016 election, she wasn’t afraid to throw her support behind him.
She used her massive Twitter influence to show her support for him, and her opposition to the radical left.
That’s why it was surprising when ABC signed a deal to reboot her extremely popular show, Roseanne.
But ABC appeared to make a great decision, with the show’s first season having massively high ratings.
Despite the high ratings, ABC chose to cancel the show because of a tweet directed at former Obama official Valerie Jarrett that was perceived as racist by many.
Barr has denied the fact it was meant as a racist attack and stated that she didn’t even know that Jarrett was African American.
Despite this, the show was canceled.
And after the show was canceled, the CEO of Disney, which owns ABC, reportedly called Jarrett to apologize for Barr’s tweet.
It was this news that set off President Donald Trump, who sent a tweet directed at Disney’s CEO, Bob Iger.
Iger, where is my call of apology? You and ABC have offended millions of people, and they demand a response. How is Brian Ross doing? He tanked the market with an ABC lie, yet no apology. Double Standard!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 31, 2018
His tweet asks Iger why he hasn’t received an apology for the many terrible things that people on his network have said about him.
Most recently, Jimmy Kimmel, who works for ABC, went on a terrible rant attacking Trump’s wife Melania.
Kimmel made fun of her accent and made jokes about how she was trying to escape the White House, implying that her marriage with the President isn’t going well.
In response to that, ABC did very little, with Kimmel making a very weak apology, which was also used as a platform to make jokes about those outraged by his original comments.
There seems to be a double standard in the media, where conservatives have a different standard for acceptable speech than liberals do.
Donald Trump referring to MS-13 gang members, who have a motto of “kill, rape, control,” as “animals” was enough to create uproar in the media, with the President being called racist over it.
But when Kimmel insults the First Lady of the United States for having an accent, virtually nobody in the media cares at all.
Donald Trump was clearly correct when he called the media the “opposition party.”
They are nothing more than a wing of the anti-Trump movement, with a few notable exceptions.
