When it comes to fake news, CNN is known for being the lead provider.
Their constant attacks on Trump seem to never cease.
But when one CNN reporter tried to attack President Trump to his face, he was shut down with just three words.
Following the violence in Charlottesville, VA, the media just can’t seem to accept any of President Trump’s statements.
From the beginning, he has condemned the violence, on both sides, including the white supremacist groups.
But the media won’t stop acting like he hasn’t.
At a recent press conference, it was clear that Trump was done messing around with reporters peddling fake news.
Notoriously known as an anti-Trumper, CNN’s reporter Jim Acosta decided to ask Trump why he didn’t initially condemn the white supremacist groups in Virginia.
Despite the fact that the press conference Trump was hosting was focused on China’s trade practices, the President assured Acosta that he had condemned those groups.
After receiving a clear and concise answer, Acosta, who is known for antagonizing Trump at the White House, went even further and asked Trump why he wasn’t hosting a press conference.
Trump responded by letting him know that he just held a press conference, which Acosta responded by asking if he could ask another question.
That’s when it became abundantly clear that the President was not playing around.
Instead of giving a cordial answer like he had before, Trump responded by stating: “It doesn’t bother me at all, but you know, I like real news, not fake news.”
And just before leaving the room, Trump dropped three words that shut Jim Acosta—and the rest of CNN—up: “You’re fake news.”
The whole exchange was reported by Fox News:
“President Trump sparred Monday with CNN star and frequent White House antagonist Jim Acosta, trading charges of “fake news” at the tail-end of a brief appearance focused on China’s trade practices.
Acosta, shouting his questions after Trump signed an executive order, at first pressed the president on why he didn’t initially condemn white supremacist hate groups after the weekend attack in Charlottesville.
“They’ve been condemned. They have been condemned,” Trump responded.
But Acosta then asked why Trump wasn’t holding a press conference despite indications to the contrary.
Trump claimed he “just had a press conference” – but Acosta asked if the media could ask more questions.
Trump responded, “It doesn’t bother me at all, but you know, I like real news, not fake news. You’re fake news.””
This isn’t the first time Jim Acosta has gotten into a spat with President Trump.
He has become known for screaming questions at the President, oftentimes at moments when questions were not being answered.
This is also not the first time President Trump has fired back.
He has famously ignored questions from CNN and other hostile news sources on multiple occasions.
Has Jim Acosta and the rest of CNN’s behavior at press conferences been inappropriate?
