Democrats could not believe the bad news that just rolled in.
Joe Biden turns into a bigger disaster every day.
And Donald Trump smiled at these new poll numbers that will bring Democrats to their knees.
Democrats settled on Joe Biden as their candidate in 2020 believing that Biden’s status as a 78-year-old white guy that had been on the Washington scene forever would not scare voters.
Biden could wear his aviator sunglasses and eat ice cream and let the corporate media keep the focus on Trump with lies, hoaxes and fake news while Big Tech censored any negative stories about Biden.
But now that Biden is in office the American people are realizing Democrats pulled the wool over their eyes.
On every domestic and foreign policy front there is a crisis.
And poll numbers show the bottom fell out from underneath Joe Biden as no president has ever lost more ground on his approval rating in a faster period of time than Joe Biden.
In less than ten months Biden’s approval rating swung 26 points from +17 when Biden took office to -9 after the American people took stock of the disastrous policy choices that led to rampant inflation, supply chain shortages, open borders and the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.
However, what is most worrisome to Democrats is the fact that the American people did not just evaluate Joe Biden as a failed president.
New polling data shows the public looked at Donald Trump’s policies as a success.
A Harvard/Harris poll found that Donald Trump had approval ratings well over nearing 60 percent on Trump’s handling of the economy and stimulating jobs.
Trump’s approval ratings were also over 50 percent on fighting terrorism, immigration and foreign affairs.
By comparison, Joe Biden’s ratings never rose above 44 percent on any of those issues.
For example, respondents gave Biden a 40 percent approval rating on the economy, 44 percent on stimulating jobs, 39 percent on fighting terrorism, 35 percent on immigration, 39 percent on foreign affairs, 42 percent on administering the government, 38 percent on dealing with violence and crime in the country, and 33 percent — his lowest — on handling Afghanistan.
In contrast, 56 percent approved of Trump’s handling of the economy, 58 percent on stimulating jobs, 55 percent on fighting terrorism, 52 percent on immigration, 52 percent on foreign affairs, and 49 percent on administering the government. The only issue Biden scored higher on is “reacting to the coronavirus,” 50 percent to his predecessor’s 47 percent.
The American people looking back at the Trump years and realizing that Trump delivered peace and prosperity with a secure border shook off the cobwebs from the public’s mind that years of media lies wove.
Joe Biden promised to restore normalcy and competence to government and instead Biden is imposing new COVID mandates, store shelves sit empty and the October inflation report recorded the highest rise in prices on record.
Those disastrous Biden failures led to the second set of polling data that concerned Democrats the most.
Democrats figure if they run against Donald Trump again in 2024 Joe Biden – or whoever the Democrats run – can bank on winning the popular vote.
But new polls from USA Today/Suffolk and Emerson show Trump leading Biden 45 to 43 and 44 to 40.
If Joe Biden runs against Donald Trump Democrats don’t just have to fear losing.
Democrats worry about suffering a landslide defeat that not only sends Donald Trump back to the White House, but also wipes out Democrats in the House and Senate races.
