Special counsel Robert Mueller is skating on thin ice.
Bombshell stories about Mueller’s investigation and the team assembled by his office have revealed both are corrupt to the very core.
Trump’s lawyer responded to the deluge of stories about Mueller’s bias by revealing the secret weapon that could take Mueller down for good.
Rudy Giuliani appeared on Fox and Friends and demanded to see all the text messages sent by Mueller’s prosecutors.
“I want to see all their texts. I want to see if they’re texting the same thing,” Giuliani declared. “I’m willing to bet a dinner that they are. You’ve got two or three of them that are texting horrible things about Trump.”
Text messages between anti-Trump FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page led to their removal from the Mueller investigation and peeled the lid off the cesspool of bias and corruption that was the FBI under former Director James Comey.
Inspector General Michael Horowitz detailed this corruption in excruciating detail in his report.
Horowitz found that Strzok sent one text to Page – whom he was having an affair with – promising that they would “stop” Trump from winning the election.
This message alarmed Americans for two reasons.
First, it was clear evidence that Strzok – who held a high-level role in the Russia investigation – intended to leverage the FBI’s police powers to destroy Donald Trump.
Second, this text was not turned over to Congress by the Department of Justice.
Horowitz discovered it in the course of his investigation.
Concealing this bombshell text message held more than a whiff of a cover up.
What else are the prosecutors on Mueller’s team hiding in their text messages?
There could be a treasure trove of poisonous messages.
Already at least three FBI personnel were removed from the Mueller investigation for their anti-Trump hatred.
In addition to Page and Strzok, FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith was bounced from the Mueller team when it was discovered he sent a text message exclaiming, “Viva la Resistance.”
How many other agents who were hardcore anti-Trump partisans did Mueller bring on board?
As more and more Americans become aware of the bias that contaminated the Mueller investigation, increasing numbers are losing confidence in his investigation.
A recent Washington Post poll found just 49 percent of Americans approve of the way Mueller is conducting the probe.
That is a nine-point plunge from the first time the question was asked.
When Trump labels the investigation a “rigged witch hunt,” he has clear and convincing evidence to back it up.
The agents who started the investigation were out to get him.
But the extent of the bias that infected the investigation is unknown.
That’s because after the DOJ refused to turn over Strzok’s message that promised to “stop” Trump, it is impossible to believe that all the relevant documents have been provided to investigators.
Do you think Robert Mueller’s corrupt witch hunt should be shut down?
