Robert Mueller’s investigation could end any day now.
Despite being open for nearly two years, he has little to show for it.
And now everything is about to change after Trump’s lawyer sent Mueller one demand.
Leading President Trump’s legal team is former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
Since joining Trump’s legal team, Giuliani has made it clear he isn’t messing around with Mueller.
And he recently took to Fox & Friends to broadcast it to the world.
After being asked about Mueller’s investigation, Giuliani didn’t mince words.
“My ultimatum is put up or shut up, Bob,” Giuliani said. “I mean, you know, what do you have? There are those of us who believe you don’t have anything on collusion. And by the way, if you did, it’s not a crime so what the heck are you doing?”
This statement was a scathing rebuke of Mueller’s investigation.
At the beginning of the probe, the goal was to investigate potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
But even if that could be proven, it isn’t a crime.
In reality, Mueller’s investigation has been an anti-Trump witch hunt since day one.
The origins of the investigation make this abundantly clear.
Without the infamous—and unverified—Christopher Steele dossier, the investigation would have nothing to stand on.
The dossier was funded by Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee, and used to obtain a FISA surveillance warrant against Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
And that very warrant application was the main piece of evidence used by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to form Mueller’s special counsel investigation.
So it isn’t surprising that Mueller has nothing on President Trump.
The entire premise for his investigation is based on a document paid for by Trump’s opposition.
The dossier is so shady that Steele is facing lawsuits in multiple countries for the information he included in it.
And at this point, Mueller’s investigation doesn’t even have anything to do with Russia collusion.
He’s instead focused on finding crimes he can tie to anyone close to the President.
Already, Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen and campaign chairman Paul Manafort have been convicted for crimes unrelated to Russia collusion.
If Mueller can’t take down Trump directly, Democrats are hoping they can at least discredit him.
That is unlikely to happen, but it’s the best hope they have to take Trump down.
And Mueller is their ultimate hero because of his witch hunt against President Trump.
Do you think Mueller needs to end his investigation?
