With less than five months to go before Election Day, Democrats are pulling out all the stops to defeat Donald Trump.
That smear campaign received an unexpected boost.
Two whistleblowers just handed Nancy Pelosi the testimony she was waiting for.
Other than Donald Trump, the next biggest target in the administration is Attorney General William Barr.
Democrats fear Barr because Barr’s testified that he believes the Obama administration spied on the Trump campaign.
Attorney General Barr also tasked United States Attorney John Durham with investigating the origins of the Russian collusion hoax and that probe is now a criminal investigation.
Congressional Democrats worry that Durham will produce a report that includes indictments outlining the criminal conspiracy concocted at the highest levels of the Obama administration and FBI to frame Donald Trump for colluding with the Russians.
So the House Judiciary Committee – under the leadership of the impeachment ringleader Chairman Jerry Nadler – launched a preemptive smear campaign against Barr.
The House Judiciary Committee announced two former Justice Department Deep State prosecutors – Aaron Zelinsky and John Elias – would testify before the committee.
Democrats on the committee claimed this was necessary because Attorney General Barr would not appear.
“The Attorney General—who cites his busy schedule as a basis for refusing to appear before @HouseJudiciary Committee but has made time for multiple television interviews—may have abdicated his responsibility to Congress, but the brave men and women of our civil service have not,” the House Judiciary Committee Twitter account wrote.
The House Judiciary Committee claimed Zelinsky and Elias would ‘blow the whistle’ on Attorney General Barr supposedly politicizing the Justice Department.
“Mr. Zelinsky can speak to the Department’s handling of the sentencing of Roger Stone and Mr. Elias can speak to improperly motivated activity by the Antitrust Division,” the House Judiciary Committee announced.
Zelinsky resigned from the prosecution of Roger Stone after the Justice Department overrode their ridiculous demand that Stone serve the maximum nine years after being convicted in the Mueller witch hunt.
Stone had no prior criminal record and the sentencing guidelines called for a much lower sentencing recommendation.
Interim United States Attorney for the District of Columbia Timothy Shea submitted a second recommendation saying the original recommendation was too harsh but did not give a proposed sentence length.
Anti-Trump Deep State Judge Amy Berman Jackson eventually sentenced Stone to 40 months in prison, but everyone expects President Trump to correct this insult to justice and pardon Stone before he spends one night in prison.
At the time, Attorney General Barr blamed the initial sentencing recommendation on a miscommunication as it was never signed off on by higher-ups.
But critics contend Zelinsky and the other Deep State prosecutors on the Stone case submitted the harsh recommendation without authorization on purpose to create this very crisis.
Zelinsky will now race into the waiting arms of Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee and try and claim Barr is subverting the independence of the DOJ.
In reality, what William Barr is doing is ending the weaponization of the Justice Department where the Obama administration and Deep State prosecutors terrorized their political enemies.
