The Democrats’ rage at the Supreme Court continues to grow.
Liberals do not care about the forces they unleashed.
And what Kamala Harris just said about Clarence Thomas just crossed one dangerous line.
In an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Harris escalated the Democrats’ rhetorical war on the Supreme Court’s conservative majority, which is led by Justice Clarence Thomas.
Harris falsely claimed the conservative majority was an “activist court” and asserted without citing any evidence that abortion was a right enshrined in the Constitution.
“I think this is an activist court,” Harris stated. “We had an established right for almost half a century, which is the right of women to make decisions about their own body as an extension of what we have decided to be, the privacy rights to which all people are entitled.”
Harris then baselessly claimed the Supreme Court “took away” the so-called “right” for women to get an abortion and end the life of an unborn baby adding that “we are suffering as a nation because of it.”
None of this is true.
There is no right to an abortion found anywhere in the Constitution.
The fact that the Constitution never references a right to an abortion formed the backbone of Justice Alito’s majority opinion striking down Roe and returning the issue of abortion to the states.
Democrats believe the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health – which overturned Roe v. Wade – will act as the party’s salvation in the midterm election.
And there is no rhetoric too overheated for Democrats like Harris to engage in to attack the court.
In a speech before the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) convention on July 18 Harris smeared the pro-life conservatives who fought to overturn Roe as domestic extremists who threaten the very foundation of the Republic.
“And yet we must recognize that there are those who are fighting to drag us backward,” Harris ranted. “Extremist so-called leaders who are fighting to drag us backward. Extremist so-called leaders who are attempting to undermine our democracy and assault our most fundamental freedoms.”
Harris knows how dangerous this rhetoric is.
But Harris doesn’t care.
For liberals clutched their pearls whenever Donald Trump attacked a decision by a left-wing justice – usually in the Ninth Circuit – who tried to throw sand in the gears of Trump implementing his agenda.
Democrats and their allies in the media claimed blasting an adverse ruling amounted to domestic terrorism.
Media reporters and pundits turned a blind eye to Harris and other Democrats attacking the conservative justices.
And Democrats know how dangerous Harris’ rhetoric is.
After Democrats savaged the court overturning Roe v. Wade as an attack on democracy a lunatic Joe Biden supporter attempted to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh in his home.
But Democrats want to fire up their voters and do not care about the risks of inciting political violence against conservatives.
