The way Democrats have been treating William Barr is unacceptable.
He is simply somebody trying to do his job, but Democrats don’t care.
And now he could be done after Democrats made one announcement.
William Barr is the main target of the Democrat Party.
They despise him simply for working under President Trump, and they will stop at nothing to destroy him.
His big crime, beyond working for Trump, is revealing the findings in Robert Mueller’s report into Russia collusion.
For two years Democrats have been salivating over the prospect of taking down Trump with those findings.
But instead, the report completely exonerates the President and proves he did not collude with Russia to win the 2016 election.
And instead of focusing their anger at Mueller, who actually reveals those findings, they go after Barr for being the messenger.
Now they are stopping at nothing to take him down.
Their biggest plan is holding him in contempt of Congress.
That is a move that can result in him getting thrown behind bars, but President Trump isn’t letting that happen.
Their contention is that Barr needs to release the full report without any redactions, which would violate the law.
So to appease them, Barr is offering Democrats access to a less-redacted version.
This is something that many have taken him up on, but Nancy Pelosi is not one of them.
Despite having access to the document since April, Pelosi has not yet read it.
But she just announced she is going to read it in the coming days.
“We will be having access to a less-redacted version of the Mueller report,” Pelosi said at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast Wednesday morning in Washington D.C. “I accepted that because I’m afraid — I really don’t trust the Attorney General of the United States.”
“If you’ve got to go down this path, you have to make sure that the public has an understanding of why,” Pelosi continued. “What I believe is that when we go forward, as we go forward, it has to run deep.”
Barr is being very generous with Democrats, considering he doesn’t need to give them anything at all.
But his generosity most definitely won’t be given the thanks it deserves.
Once Pelosi reads the less-redacted version she will almost certainly not be satisfied.
Some Democrats have already read it, and there has been no uproar, and the media doesn’t have leaks from it.
That means that there is nothing of use.
But that won’t stop Pelosi from complaining about it not being fully public, or whining about how it is less-redacted, and not fully unredacted.
Pelosi is almost certainly going to use this act of good faith to further attack Barr.
Barr has already been through a lot.
Prior to being Attorney General, Democrats loved him, with major figures like Joe Biden heaping praise at him in the past.
But being fair in the Trump era is not acceptable.
To the Democrats, you are either with Donald Trump or with the anti-Trump resistance.
There is no room for anybody in the center.
