Attorney General William Barr has Donald Trump’s enemies on the run.
Ever since taking over the Justice Department, Barr has put the Obama Deep State and other Trump opponents on notice that their time is up.
And now William Barr is about to file the one lawsuit that will give Donald Trump a huge win that he never saw coming.
As the 2020 election approaches, tech companies are putting a plan into motion to rig the outcome in favor of the Democrats.
Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are censoring and banning Trump supporters to stifle any ability for conservatives to challenge the media’s narrative about the Presidential campaign.
This began with the complete de-platforming of pro-Trump radio host Alex Jones last August.
And it’s accelerated in recent months.
President Trump has repeatedly warned the tech companies about suppressing conservative speech.
“I am continuing to monitor the censorship of AMERICAN CITIZENS on social media platforms. This is the United States of America — and we have what’s known as FREEDOM OF SPEECH! We are monitoring and watching, closely!!” President Trump wrote on Twitter last month.
That should have been a warning to Big Tech that the clock was ticking until the administration took substantial action.
That day finally arrived.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the Department of Justice – under the leadership of Attorney General William Barr – was preparing an anti-trust case against Google.
Simultaneously, the Federal Trade Commission was set to investigate Facebook.
During his confirmation hearings earlier this year, Barr informed Senators on the Judiciary Committee that he had his eye on Big Tech.
“I don’t think big is necessarily bad, but I think a lot of people wonder how such huge behemoths that now exist in Silicon Valley have taken shape under the nose of the antitrust enforcers,” Mr. Barr told the Senators.
“You can win that place in the marketplace without violating the antitrust laws, but I want to find out more about that dynamic.”
Missouri Senator Josh Hawley praised the decision.
Hawley has emerged as the foremost critic of Big Tech and their liberal bias.
“This is big news and long overdue,” Hawley tweeted.
After Donald Trump won the 2016 election, the left was determined never to allow anything like that to happen again.
That’s why their allies in the so-called “mainstream” media began to pressure social media companies to crack down on “hate speech” and “fake news.”
Both “hate speech” and “fake news” were defined as any political thought or story that the left disagreed with.
Social media companies responded by changing their algorithms to suppress the reach of conservatives.
But that eventually gave way to outright bannings.
By preparing this lawsuit, the Trump administration is putting Big Tech on notice that pressing their thumbs down on the scale for the Democrats in 2020 will not go unnoticed.
We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this ongoing story.
