Donald Trump is counting on a united Republican Party to defeat Joe Biden this November.
But the President just found some disturbing news on that front.
You won’t believe which Republicans just betrayed Donald Trump for Barack Obama.
In an interview with Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody, President Trump explained what crime he thought former President Barack Obama committed in the Obamagate scandal.
“Treason. Treason. It’s treason,” Trump answered.
President Trump expanded on that when he described how he was correct when he tweeted back in March 2017 that Obama spied on him.
“They’d been spying on my campaign,” the President continued. “Turned out I was right. Let’s see what happens to them now.”
The facts confirmed Donald Trump’s tweet.
In 2016, the FBI dispatched undercover spy Cambridge Professor Stefan Halper on a clandestine mission to gather intelligence on if the Trump campaign colluded with Russia.
And to make matters worse, the FBI used fake news from the Christopher Steele dossier to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on former Trump campaign foreign policy aide Carter Page.
The warrant allowed the FBI access to text messages and emails from Page’s time on the Trump team.
The fake news media fumed over this interview.
Barack Obama is the golden calf they worship.
Left-wing media members cannot stand any criticism of Barack Obama.
And weak Republicans played right into their hands.
Senate Republicans live in fear of being criticized by the fake news media.
And when so-called “reporters” confronted them with Trump’s quotes, they raced to distance themselves from the President.
“I don’t know what he’s talking about,” Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham told the fake news. “I don’t have any evidence to believe he committed treason.”
“The president speaks for himself,” Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson whined to the fake news media. “I’m looking at the corruption with the transition process, which I think is evidently true. And we just need to figure out all that did happen so that the American people understand it, so hopefully it’ll never happen again. I’m not going to respond to what the president said.”
Both Graham and Johnson are supposedly running investigations into Obama-era corruption and won’t even entertain the idea that Obama committed a crime.
Nothing will depress the Republican vote this fall more than the idea that if Americans keep electing Republicans it won’t change anything or that they won’t fight Democrats.
The conduct of Republicans after President Trump’s comments accusing Obama of trying to subvert the peaceful transition of power after the 2016 election will not help Republicans win elections.
If anything, it will jeopardize the GOP’s chances of retaining the Senate.
