Sean Hannity was one of Donald Trump’s biggest supporters on Fox News Channel.
That made Hannity a target for Nancy Pelosi’s latest witch hunt.
And you won’t believe why Democrats want to put Sean Hannity in jail.
Last month, Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 kangaroo court tried to smear Sean Hannity by leaking Hannity’s text messages sent to White House chief of staff Mark Meadows during the events of that day.
But as it turned out, the committee never intended to stop violating Hannity’s privacy and leaking his texts to their hatchet men in the corporate media.
Now Adam Schiff declared that the committee intends to haul Hannity in for interrogation.
MSNBC’s left-wing activist Hallie Jackson asked Schiff about the committee’s intention to grill Hannity over his connection to Donald Trump.
“Yes,” Schiff told Jackson. “And I think you’ll see an announcement about that very soon. You know, we believe that he was texting with the chief-of-staff and that he has information that would be relative to our committee. He was more than a Fox host. He was also a confidant, adviser, campaigner for the former president. And I would hope that if he’s asked by the committee – as I expect he will be very soon – that he would cooperate with us.”
Jackson added if the committee’s asked for voluntary cooperation.
Schiff responded at this point the committee was just asking Hannity to appear.
“My understanding – and you’ll get confirmation very soon – is that we are making voluntary requests that he speak with the committee,” Schiff added.
Hannity’s attorney Jay Sekulow – who defended President Trump in the Ukraine impeachment hoax – sounded the alarm that the committee appeared ready to shred the First Amendment to attack a member of the media for their political beliefs.
“If true, any such request would raise serious constitutional issues including First Amendment concerns regarding freedom of the press,” Sekulow stated.
The January 6 committee is a runaway train of constitutional abuses and violations of civil liberties.
Committee members seized the private communication records of ordinary citizens and elected officials in one of the grossest examples of the government persecuting political opponents.
If Hannity declines the subpoena the committee will likely try to throw Hannity in jail.
The committee’s attempting to jail political prisoners voting for criminal referrals for Meadows and former Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon.
Hannity is clearly next on the committee’s hit list.
The Democrats trying to throw a media commentator in jail for opposing an unconstitutional committee – the committee admitted it’s considering criminal charges against Donald Trump which violates separation of powers – is one of the most frightening and authoritarian power grabs in American history.
