Former President Bill Clinton is still one of the leading voices in the Democrat Party.
Clinton still retains keen political instincts which Clinton uses to try and guide the left.
But now you’ll be speechless when you see what Bill Clinton just confessed.
From the day Joe Biden took office polls show the American people roundly rejected Biden’s open borders agenda.
Even in the early days of the administration when polls showed a majority of Americans approving of Biden’s job those same polls also showed a near super majority of Americans disapproved of Biden opening the country up to a mass invasion of illegal aliens.
Now the problem has only gotten worse as Biden halting construction on the border wall and ending Donald Trump’s successful “Remain in Mexico” protocol led to over four million illegal aliens pouring over the border.
With the midterm election less than 40 days away Bill Clinton gave an interview to CNN where Clinton tried to test run talking points Democrats could use to blunt the massive polling advantage Republicans hold over Democrats on the issue of immigration.
Contrary to the stated belief of the current Democrat Party consensus of open borders and unlimited migration, Clinton admitted there had to be limits as no nation could afford to take in everyone.
“There is a limit to how many migrants any society can take without severe disruption and assistance, and our system is based much more on an assumption that things would be more normal,” Clinton told CNN.
Clinton also explained that the current illegal immigration crisis – thanks to wars in Syria and Ukraine as well as the collapse of the communist government in Venezuela – was a strain on the West.
“It’s an old story, but now you’ve got the largest number of refugees since World War II because of Syria and now Ukraine and other problems,” Clinton added.
Clinton also admitted that Texas Governor Greg Abbott had a point in busing illegal aliens the Biden administration abandoned in his state to sanctuary cities in blue states to call out liberal hypocrisy on supporting mass illegal immigration since Democrats did not have to live with the aftermath.
“What’s happening in Venezuela, more than 2 million refugees pouring into first Colombia then nearby countries, has created unprecedented new challenges and meanwhile provides opportunities for stunts like Gov. Abbott’s — sending his refugees to some place that he thinks is advocating for a broad-minded policy that it doesn’t have to live with,” Clinton explained.
Democrats simply do not talk about the issue of immigration like this.
But Clinton knows it’s crunch time for now and the 2024 election.
Donald Trump could turn the 2024 election into a referendum on a Democrat president’s open borders agenda just like he successfully did in 2016 when Trump rode his support for cracking down on illegal immigration to victory over Hillary Clinton.
And Clinton is trying to perform a rescue mission to prevent that eventuality.
