In the past few months, Fox News has been shifting radically to the left.
They now sound more like CNN than they did during the 2016 election.
And you’ll never watch Fox News again after what they said about Nancy Pelosi.
Democrats finally succeeded on impeaching President Donald Trump.
This came after weeks of encouragement from Fox News anchors like Chris Wallace and Judge Andrew Napolitano.
They spent their time on air regurgitating Democrat talking points to back the efforts, while other anchors like Tucker Carlson were challenging the narrative.
Going into the impeachment vote, Fox News’ Chris Wallace spoke about the dynamics at play.
With it being in the House of Representatives, it was essentially Trump vs Nancy Pelosi.
Wallace referred to both of them as “master politicians.”
“What you’re really seeing today … is a clash between two master politicians,” Wallace said.
He then went on to explain his reasoning for Pelosi getting the label.
“Nancy Pelosi is a master politician and her ability to herd the cats to keep all of her caucus, which goes from far left to, a little bit to the right, she has been able to keep them all on board,” he also said.
Wallace then went on to state his reasoning why Trump is a master politician.
“Conversely, Donald Trump and it has been pointed out earlier today that in every other impeachment there were at least some members of the president’s party, not a lot, but some, who broke with, from him and voted to impeach. That hasn’t happened with Donald Trump,” Wallace added.
He then went on to argue that it isn’t over for Trump, and that what happens in the Senate will truly cement whether or not Trump is a master politician:
“His ability to basically subsume the Republican Party, so that no one, whether it’s in, certainly in the House, and perhaps we’ll see in the Senate is going to break with him and he has the consistent, constant control of his own party is a real testament to his abilities as a master politician.”
While Trump isn’t really a traditional politician, his argument is sound.
It would be more accurate to point out the fact that Trump has gotten his level of Republican support not through traditional politics, but rather by going directly to the people, making it impossible for any Republican to win re-election while impeaching Trump.
But in contrast, Pelosi is far from a “master politician.”
While she did win on impeachment in the short term, the trial will go nowhere in the Senate.
And all she did was rile up Trump’s base, and moderate voters who may have considered voting Democrat.
She made her party look like a bunch of petulant children in the eyes of the American public.
And polling proves that.
Polling shows that the majority of Americans oppose impeaching President Trump.
And Trump’s approval rating has climbed upwards of 9 points, depending on the poll in question, since the start of the impeachment hearings.
Do you think Trump will win re-election in 2020?
