The White House picked a fight with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
In the process they elevated the one Republican Democrats fear could evict Joe Biden and Kamala Harris from the White House.
All hell broke loose when Ron DeSantis told a truth Joe Biden doesn’t want to hear.
Multiple polls show Joe Biden’s approval rating on the coronavirus pandemic plummeting as the administration begs states and businesses to impose mask and vaccine mandates on Americans.
The latest Quinnipiac Poll found Joe Biden’s approval rating on managing the coronavirus pandemic plummeting 22 points from 65/30 approval in May to 53/40 in July.
Americans are fed up with the shifting guidance, insane statements from public health officials – such as telling parents to wear masks at home in front of their children – and the new restrictions which the Biden administration is using to impose a sense of permanent pandemic on the country.
The Biden administration saw these sagging political fortunes and tried to pin the blame for the mandates on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
DeSantis kept Florida’s economy and schools open last year and refused to impose a mask mandate.
As a result, Florida’s unemployment rate sat below the national average and Florida saw fewer per capita deaths than blue states like New York and California that imposed 15 months of lockdowns and mask mandates.
DeSantis’ exposing the Fauci strategy of shutdowns and masks as ineffective – as well as DeSantis’ effectively fighting back against the media – saw DeSantis become the odds-on favorite to win the 2024 GOP nomination should Trump not run.
Biden fears DeSantis is an unstoppable force in 2024 so Biden claimed DeSantis was killing people by banning vaccine passports and not making kindergarteners wear masks in schools was tantamount to killing people, telling DeSantis to “get out of the way.”
“Some state officials are passing laws … that forbid people from doing the right thing,” Biden claimed in a White House speech. “I say to the governors, please help. If you’re not going to help, get out of the way of the people that are trying to do the right thing. Use your power to save lives.”
The next day DeSantis smacked Biden right between the eyes with a healthy dose of truth.
DeSantis blasted Biden for trying to shift blame for the pandemic by ripping Biden for importing coronavirus through the administration’s policy of shipping COVID-positive illegal aliens into locations across the country.
“This is a guy who ran for office saying he’s going to shut down the virus,” DeSantis told a crowd. “And what has he done? He’s imported more virus from around the world by having a wide-open southern border.”
DeSantis added that until Biden did his job and secured the border, Biden should keep his whining to himself.
“Why don’t you do your job?” the Florida Republican said during a press conference Wednesday. “Why don’t you get this border secure? And until you do that, I don’t wanna hear a blip about COVID from you, thank you.”
