Americans got some more bad news.
The bombshell dropped at a time when Joe Biden’s poll numbers plummeted as Americans soured on Biden’s leadership.
Joe Biden just created a new border crisis that will leave you red with rage.
The United States evacuated 70,000 people from Afghanistan since August 14.
While the administration conceals the true number of Americans evacuated, reports indicate that number is around 4,000.
But what concerns Americans is Joe Biden throwing open the border to poorly vetted Afghan refugees and increasing the chances ISIS or Al Qaeda members could infiltrate the refugee flows.
Reporting by The Daily Caller shows that is a major concern as a Pentagon official told the website that a biometric U.S. database shows at least 0.5% of Afghan refugees are connected to terrorist groups.
With the number of Afghan refugees the Biden administration talks about importing, that means hundreds of potential terrorists could try and make their way to the United States.
The Daily Caller exclusively reports:
A small percentage of Afghan refugees are being flagged through biometric and background checks for possible ties to terrorism, one Pentagon official and a second person familiar with the process of security screenings told the Daily Caller.
The Pentagon official said the number of Afghan refugees flagged for questionable connections, such as connections to attacks against U.S. or coalition forces, is “0.5% or more.” President Joe Biden estimated during an interview published Aug. 19 that between 50,000 to 65,000 Afghans must be evacuated, meaning roughly 250-325 of these could be flagged, if the trend continues.
Multiple officials told the Caller that any individual flagged during security protocols is immediately prohibited from traveling to the U.S. and subjected to a more in depth round of screening.
A White House spokesman claimed the administration is thoroughly vetting Afghan refugees.
“Intelligence, law enforcement, and counterterrorism professionals are conducting screening and security vetting for all SIV applicants and other vulnerable Afghans before they are allowed into the United States,” the spokesperson told The Daily Caller. “We are surging resources to evaluate each case and process these as efficiently as possible to protect homeland security.”
But The Daily Caller reported it’s not that simple.
The Pentagon official told The Daily Caller that the military expects ISIS and Al Qaeda terrorists to attempt to infiltrate the refugee evacuation program.
“With large numbers of people coming from Afghanistan, where we know there is significant Al-Qaida and ISIS-K presence, it’s highly likely that in some cases, these really sophisticated terrorists may attempt to enter the country as infiltrators,” the Pentagon official told The Daily Caller.
“Within that population of half a percent, some are likely to be tied to Al-Qaida or ISIS-K, and those are designated terrorist organizations,” the official concluded.
The administration claims there is a thorough vetting process in place.
If a refugee fails the screening process, what then?
And is the Biden administration screening for ideology?
A 2013 Pew poll found 99 percent of Afghans supported making Sharia the official law of their country.
That same poll found 39 percent of Afghans believe suicide bombings are justified.
Will the Biden administration screen out individuals that support Sharia law and suicide bombings?
But Americans look at the southern border and the ease with which COVID-positive illegal aliens cross into America and are then placed in American communities with no warning to law enforcement or local officials and have their doubts.
Joe Biden’s chaotic failure in trying to rush through an evacuation program the administration did not plan for does not raise confidence that the administration will catch the potentially hundreds of terrorist-linked infiltrators from slipping into the country using the refugee program.
