The Deep State’s scheme to impeach Donald Trump is reaching its final stages.
They have been maneuvering their pieces around the board to set up the end game of removing the President from office.
And now the final stage of that plan has been put into motion.
With the midterms around the corner, Democrats are looking to recruit candidates that can win Republican held districts.
And in a shocking turn of events, they are turning to former CIA agents to round out their roster of potential office seekers.
The Washington Post reports:
“Trump has antagonized the intelligence community by questioning the expertise and professionalism of employees at the various spy agencies. He has never fully accepted their conclusion that Vladimir Putin ordered a comprehensive cyber campaign to boost his campaign and sabotage the presidential election. “The whole Russia thing was an excuse for the Democrats losing the election,” Trump said again Monday during a news conference in the Rose Garden.
Shortly before taking office, Trump memorably compared the intelligence community he now oversees to Nazi Germany. The day after being inaugurated, Trump visited CIA headquarters in Langley, Va., and drew criticism for delivering self-referential remarks before a wall of stars memorializing fallen officers. Visiting Poland in July, the president said U.S. intelligence analysts were wrong about Iraq having weapons of mass destruction — so they could also be wrong again about the Russians. In March, Trump asked two of the nation’s top intelligence officials to help him push back against an FBI investigation into possible coordination between his campaign and the Russian government. Both refused.
Across the “deep state,” there are pockets of concern about the president’s fitness for office. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) spoke for many who cannot go on the record when he expressed fear that Trump’s behavior is setting the nation “on the path to World War III.”
If the Democrats win control of Congress they will almost certainly push to impeach Trump.
CNN reports Trump’s allies are deeply concerned about this prospect:
“To some attendees, the subtext was clear. If Republicans forfeit the House, Democrats will almost certainly create a spectacle that will derail conservatives’ agenda and the remainder of Trump’s first term — a spectacle complete with a raft of new subpoenas, a spotlight on the Russia investigation and, many are convinced, impeachment proceedings.
“When Democrats take control of the House they will absolutely move for articles of impeachment,” one Trump confidant predicted.”
If the Democrats are going to move ahead with impeachment, the Deep State will install loyalists in their ranks who are sure to vote to impeach Trump even though they come from districts he carried.
More conventional politicians may waver in the face of voting to impeach a President who is popular in their district, but the Deep State operatives will not flinch.
