Jen Psaki made it official.
Psaki is on her way out of the White House.
And all hell broke loose when Jen Psaki announced she just quit on Joe Biden.
Axios’ Sara Fischer broke the news that White House press secretary Jen Psaki would leave the administration in May to take a job with MSNBC and NBCUniversal.
Psaki would host a show on NBC’s streaming platform, but would not take over for Rachel Maddow’s nightly 9 p.m. show on cable.
Axios exclusively reports:
White House press secretary Jen Psaki is in exclusive talks with MSNBC to join the network after she leaves the White House around May, according to a source close to the matter…
…Psaki will host a show for MSNBC on NBCUniversal’s streaming platform, Peacock.
She will also be a part of live programming on MSNBC’s cable network as a voice on different shows, but she will not be hosting the 9 p.m. hour replacing Rachel Maddow, which has been speculated.
Psaki staying on as press secretary for a number of weeks before leaving led to such a blatant conflict of interest that even liberal activists realized Psaki could no longer properly function.
I don’t think Psaki should be negotiating for a job with a media company while she still serves as Press Secretary.
She currently plays a powerful role in determining what outlets get access
It creates, at a minimum, the appearance of a conflict https://t.co/qIoOBmk18R

Jen Psaki will conduct press briefings where her future colleagues from MSNBC and NBC will sit in the room and ask Psaki questions.
There is also the simple matter of Psaki – at the end of the day – now having two bosses.
Currently the U.S. taxpayers pay Psaki’s salary.
But Psaki also must now please NBC executives and her future audience.
MSNBC is fighting CNN to be home base for liberal Americans to consume their news.
Will Psaki tell the truth about the Biden administration’s failures or shade her answers to ensure Psaki does not hurt her MSNBC viewership by ticking off left-wing Americans?
Now that this story is out in public and confirmed Jen Psaki should immediately resign as press secretary and cool her heels for a few weeks until her MSNBC show starts up.
For four years during the Trump administration the corporate media falsely claimed Fox News was “state TV.”
But now Jen Psaki is serving as White House press secretary – ostensibly working on behalf of the taxpayers – while at the same time preparing to draw a paycheck from MSNBC.
That is the literal definition of state media.
