The FBI is once again under fire because of a growing scandal.
And it landed Attorney General Jeff Sessions on the hot seat.
Sessions is being asked to account for a massive cover-up that has everyone asking difficult questions.
Carlson began his monologue by exposing the Southern Poverty Law Center, a sham organization that the media props up in order to slime conservatives.
Carlson stated “Well as you already know if you’ve been paying any attention at all, the Southern Poverty Law Center is an entirely fraudulent enterprise. The organization has nothing to do with south or poverty. It’s a left-wing political group that uses hate crime designations to target its ideological enemies and to crush people.”
The popular Fox News host then explained how the Southern Poverty Law Center was accused of inspiring acts of domestic terrorism.
“In 2012, the SPLC inspired a shooting attack on the Family Research Council by labeling the innocuous Christian Organization as a “hate group,” Carlson stated.
The Fox News 8 PM host described an incident where left-wing activist Floyd Lee Corkins attempted to storm the Family Research Council’s Washington headquarters to assassinate the group’s leadership.
Corkins admitted to authorities that his act of terrorism was caused by the Southern Poverty Law Center listing the Family Research Council as a “hate group.”
Carlson then detailed how the FBI crawled into bed with left-wing smear merchants who exploit the group’s stolen valor as a moral authority to push dangerous rhetoric that many Americans believe incites violence against conservatives.
The Fox News host declared “The FBI has a long history of collaborating with the Southern Poverty Law Center. In 2009 – for example – the FBI called the SPLC “a well known and established credible organization that monitors domestic terrorism in the U.S.”
But if you thought the FBI’s relationship with the Southern Poverty Law Center was a relic of the Obama administration, Carlson revealed that the FBI continues to collude with the SPLC to falsely smear anyone who disagrees with liberals as a hate group and bigots.
“Despite multiple requests from the program the FBI – we asked repeatedly – or even explain why it continues to work with a group like that.”
The Department of Justice – which is overseen by Attorney General Jeff Sessions – issued a statement that claimed the agency was evaluating its relationship with the SPLC – but the statement pointedly did not say it would terminate its relationship with a group that has been alleged to have inspired domestic terrorism.
DOJ spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores relayed to Fox News in a statement that “The Attorney General has directed the FBI to reevaluate their relationships with groups like this to ensure the FBI does not partner with any group that discriminates.”
Some Trump supporters are once again questioning Attorney General Sessions’ priorities.
The Department of Justice oversees the FBI.
Sessions could have terminated the relationship between the DOJ and SPLC immediately.
The fact that he did not is raising eyebrows among some Trump supporters.
