Donald Trump is the frontrunner for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination and the unquestioned leader of the Republican Party.
But no one could believe what just happened in the race.
And Donald Trump faced one 2024 ultimatum that left him stunned into silence.
Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose is one of three Republicans running for Senate in the Buckeye State.
LaRose is competing with RINO State Senator Matt Dolan – who opposed a six-week heartbeat bill, backs gun control and whose family bent the knee to Black Lives Matter and changed the name of the Cleveland Indians to the Cleveland Guardians as part of the woke uprising in 2020 – for the establishment lane.
Businessman Bernie Moreno is the other candidate and campaigning as an America First supporter of Donald Trump.
The race got turned upside down when a source close to LaRose’s campaign threatened that if Trump didn’t endorse LaRose, the prospect of infuriating the man who controls voting in Ohio would come back to haunt Trump in 2024.
“As the behind-the-scenes jockeying for Trump’s affections continues, a source close to LaRose’s campaign suggested it would personally benefit Trump to go with the elections officer, for obvious reasons,” the Huffington Post reports.
“If you are the president and you are fighting four legal battles, most of them centered around the validity of the election — and you’re most likely going to be on the general election ballot in a state you cannot win the White House without — are you going to do anything to antagonize the guy counting the votes?” the source close to LaRose asked.
LaRose is already under fire for his support for amnesty.
During a candidate forum LaRose claimed deporting illegal aliens would tank the economy.
“It’s not realistic to take 20 million consumers out of the economy,” LaRose declared. “Immigration, when done legally, is a net positive for our country.”
Establishment Republicans friendly with big business view America as nothing more than an economy as opposed to a nation of people united by their culture, history and institutions.
The GOP donor class wants a continuous flow of cheap labor into the country.
Contrary to LaRose’s pollyannish view of immigration, importing massive numbers of low-skilled foreign workers drives down the wages for native-born Americans.
LaRose is feeling the heat as Trump previously praised the idea of Moreno entering the race.
Trump’s endorsement proved pivotal in 2022 as Trump backing J.D. Vance propelled Vance to victory.
Establishment, pro-amnesty Republicans like LaRose know Trump backing Moreno spells the end of the road for them.
And so in a desperate measure to win Trump’s backing, the LaRose campaign is attempting intimidation and threats.
