Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is facing retirement in the very near future.
Ginsburg stepping down will set off a battle in Washington that will make impeachment look tame.
And the next Supreme Court Justice was revealed. Who it is will put jaws on the ground.
86 year-old Ruth Bader Ginsburg faced multiple health scares.
Ginsburg fell in 2018 and broke her ribs.
Doctors then discovered cancerous tumors on her lungs.
Last year Ginsburg underwent radiation treatment for the pancreatic cancer she was diagnosed with back in 2009.
All of these developments unnerved liberals.
Currently liberals hold four seats on the Supreme Court.
But should Ginsburg step down President Trump will replace her with a staunch conservative meaning there would now be six Republican appointees on the Supreme Court.
That means there would be no more five to four decisions on hot button cases and no one Justice would be “blamed” for casting the tie breaking a vote.
A six justice conservative majority means Roe v Wade – the Holy Grail of left-wing Supreme Court decisions – could be overturned.
This all assumes Donald Trump is picking Ginsburg’s replacement.
But Ginsburg stubbornly refused to retire even though her health is clearly preventing her from performing her duties.
Ginsburg routinely needs help getting up and down from the dais that the Justices sit on during oral arguments.
And Ginsburg has been known to fall asleep at key moments.
Ginsburg famously dozed off during one of Barack Obama’s State of the Union Addresses.
However, Ginsburg has not retired because she is holding out hope a Democrat will defeat Donald Trump in November.
Should a Democrat win Ginsburg would retire in short order and let the new Democrat President pick her successor.
In 2016 Donald Trump juiced Republican turnout through the roof by releasing a list of potential Supreme Court Justice nominees.
This list convinced grassroots conservatives that Trump was serious about their issues and they rewarded Trump with voter turnout levels the Republican Party had never seen before.
Former Vice President Joe Biden is trying copy that feat.
Biden is the shaky frontrunner in the Democrat race, but the sparse crowds Biden attracts on his light campaign schedule highlights the lack of enthusiasm Democrats feel for Biden’s candidacy.
During a campaign stop in Iowa Biden reached into the Trump playbook and announced that if he won the Presidency Biden would nominate Barack Obama to the Supreme Court.
“Yeah, I would, but I don’t think he’d do it,” Biden stated. “He’d be a great Supreme Court justice.”
Barack Obama on the Supreme Court would be the left’s dream and conservatives’ nightmare.
But would Obama take the job?
Since leaving the White House the Obama’s seem most concerned with padding their bank account.
If Obama accepted a nomination to sit on the Supreme Court his book and Netflix deals that combined are worth hundreds of millions of dollars would disappear overnight.
