Democrats want Michelle Obama to run for president.
Many political insiders believe Obama will run for president.
And you won’t believe how Michelle Obama is about to enter the 2020 race.
Joe Biden needs to select a running mate.
On multiple occasions, Biden stated that former First Lady Michelle Obama is his number one choice to join the ticket as his vice presidential nominee.
“She’s brilliant. She knows the way around. She is a really fine woman. The Obamas are great friends,” Biden told a local Pittsburgh news station in April.
Biden also claimed he thought Michelle Obama would turn down the job because he claimed she never wanted to live in the White House again.
However, few Americans believe Michelle Obama has no political ambitions.
And given Biden’s obvious mental decline, many Americans don’t think Biden knows what day it is, let alone holds a grasp on Michelle Obama’s intentions for 2020.
But polls also show Michelle Obama is the most popular choice among Democrats to serve as Joe Biden’s running mate.
A CBS/YouGov poll found Michelle Obama with nearly twice as much support as Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren.
“The CBS/YouGov found 65 percent of Democrats support Obama’s selection, given her consent, while a surprising 35 percent say they oppose it. With respect to black respondents, 70 percent approve a Biden-Obama ticket, while 30 percent do not. When it comes to independent voters, Obama’s support falls five points to 60 percent, with 40 percent saying they are against her being selected for the VP slot,” Breitbart reported.
Political insiders believe Michelle Obama’s real objection to serving as president is having to campaign for president.
And no one seriously considers the idea of Michelle Obama playing second fiddle to a senile 78-year-old man a realistic possibility.
But there is another way Michelle Obama can ascend to the presidency.
In the past, Biden stated he was nothing more than a transitional figure that is there to defeat Trump and then pass the baton to the next generation of Democrat leaders.
“According to four people who regularly talk to Biden, all of whom asked for anonymity to discuss internal campaign matters, it is virtually inconceivable that he will run for reelection in 2024, when he would be the first octogenarian president,” POLITICO exclusively reported.
If Biden intends to only serve a single term – which, with his age and declining mental health suggest is a good possibility –it makes sense to have an “heir apparent” in place.
It would also mean Biden is likely to step down before his first term expires so that his vice president would then run for re-election as the incumbent president.
Michelle Obama fits the bill as the designated successor to a T.
Obama is the most popular Democrat in America and she could assume the office of president without ever having to do serious campaigning.
