Joe Biden weaponized the justice system to destroy Donald Trump.
The criminal cases against Trump are moving into the end game.
And Donald Trump made this bombshell statement about dropping out of the 2024 race.
Univision anchor Enrique Acevedo confronted Trump about how the four criminal indictments and 91 felony charges Democrats hit him with would affect his ability to run for president.
Acevedo asked Trump if he might find himself in a situation where Trump won the GOP nomination only to have legal issues force him to quit the race.
“This week you were in New York in court. Today, you’re facing four indictments in multiple jurisdictions. Are you concerned that you might win the Republican nomination only to be forced to drop out of the race?” Acevedo wondered.
Trump responded by telling Acevedo that the premise of his question – that criminal charges and/or a conviction would end Trump’s campaign – were why Joe Biden ordered Attorney General Merrick Garland to indict Trump.
“Well, I don’t think you drop out. I think the people know it’s a political persecution. It’s a political hoax,” Trump stated.
Trump explained that thanks to runaway inflation, the threat of World War 3 breaking out in the Middle East and Europe as well as the wide-open southern border, Joe Biden can’t run on his record and needs to distract from his failures.
That’s why – Trump added – Democrat prosecutors indicted him in the hopes that these criminal charges would alter the dynamics of a race that show Trump leading Biden in both national and swing-state polls.
“This is Biden, who’s the worst president in the history of our country. We’ve never had a president so dumb, so incompetent and so corrupt from the standpoint of what they’re doing. They’ve weaponized the Justice Department, they’ve weaponized the FBI, and they’ve come at me with the worst indictments. Nobody’s ever seen anything like it,” Trump added.
And contrary to the false claims made by Biden’s allies in the media, Trump is correct to point out that Biden ordered these indictments.
On April 2, 2022, Joe Biden sent word to Attorney General Merrick Garland through a leak in The New York Times that he wanted to see Garland take more aggressive action in prosecuting Trump.
“As recently as late last year, Mr. Biden confided to his inner circle that he believed former President Donald J. Trump was a threat to democracy and should be prosecuted, according to two people familiar with his comments. And while the president has never communicated his frustrations directly to Mr. Garland, he has said privately that he wanted Mr. Garland to act less like a ponderous judge and more like a prosecutor who is willing to take decisive action over the events of Jan. 6,” the Times reported.
Garland clearly got the message because just eight weeks later the FBI executed a search warrant in Mar-a-Lago and the witch hunts against Trump were off to the races.
