Polls show Kamala Harris is the most unpopular vice president in history.
Democrats hold their breath every time she speaks in public.
And Kamala Harris faced this devastating truth that drove the final nail in her coffin.
Harris can’t help but put her clown-car political skills on display even in friendly interview settings.
New York Times liberal activist Astead Herndon chatted with Harris for the Times’ “The Run-Up” podcast.
A recent Fox News poll pegged Harris’s approval rating at 38 percent with 59 percent disapproving.
Safe to say Harris is a major liability for Biden in the 2024 election as polls also show Americans don’t believe the 80-year-old Biden can finish another term and thus a vote for Biden is a vote to put Kamala Harris in the Oval Office.
Herndon gave Harris a chance to knock down the narrative that Joe Biden only chose her as his running mate in 2020 because Biden figured that as an old white guy, he needed a black woman on the ticket to spur the party’s woke base to turn out.
“He came to the decision that he needed to choose a Black woman,” Herndon began. “While that is obviously about you, it’s not necessarily you personally, but your identity. How should it matter, does it matter that that narrative has existed, that Biden needed to choose someone who was a Black person, and should it matter?”
Harris completely blew this question and acted like she had no idea what Herndon asked her.
Herndon asked the same question a second time.
“Does it matter that, that kind of narrative around Biden needed to choose a Black woman as a running mate still exists and has hovered over that selection?” Herndon asked.
Harris busted out her nails-on-chalkboard cackle and offered up a response that made no sense.
“It happened,” Harris stated. “I don’t think, I honestly don’t understand your question. Has it lingered?”
“He chose a Black woman, that woman is me, so I don’t know that anything lingers about what he should choose. He has chosen, he asked me to join him on the ticket,” Harris continued.
Harris had no record of achievement as California attorney general or senator.
In her failed 2020 presidential campaign she built no base of voters, dropping out months before the first vote with her poll numbers at near zero.
Even the late Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid admitted Harris was essentially an identity politics candidate to make woke liberals swallow voting for an old, straight, white man.
“I think he came to the conclusion that he should pick a Black woman,” Reid said at the time. “They are our most loyal voters and I think that the Black women of America deserved a Black vice-presidential candidate.”
Kamala Harris’s utter failure as border czar and the fact that the Biden team tries to hide her from the public as much as possible shows that internally Democrats view Harris as a liability with limited political talents, but who checked off the right demographic boxes.
