RINO former Congresswoman Liz Cheney hinted at running for president.
Cheney claimed she would do whatever it takes to help the establishment stop Donald Trump.
And now Liz Cheney just made one major 2024 career announcement.
When Liz Cheney lost her primary by 37 points to a Trump-backed challenger her cheerleaders in the corporate media claimed Cheney actually grew stronger politically in a nearly 40-point defeat.
POLITICO’s Jeff Greenfield wrote on the night of Cheney’s defeat and her concession speech, “But the best ones aren’t forgotten — and Liz Cheney’s might yet go down in history.”
With millions in the bank from her failed campaign the corporate press chomped at the bit at Cheney — who voted to impeach Trump following January 6 — running a single-issue seek-and-destroy campaign against Trump.
Cheney fueled these delusions in her concession speech where she compared herself to Abraham Lincoln who won the White House after losing a congressional election.
“The great and original champion of our party, Abraham Lincoln, was defeated in elections for the Senate and the House before he won the most important election of all. Lincoln ultimately prevailed, he saved our Union and he defined our obligation as Americans for all of history. Speaking at Gettysburg of the great task remaining before us, Lincoln said that, ‘We here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain, that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom, and a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, shall not perish from this earth,’” Cheney said in her concession speech.
Reality soon set in.
There is zero chance a RINO who voted to impeach Trump and served as Nancy Pelosi’s hand-picked pit bull could gain any traction in a GOP primary.
And in a fitting end for a RINO who voted for gun control and homosexual marriage, Cheney will now enter the world of liberal campus life and serve as a professor at the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics.
“With democracy under fire in this country and elsewhere around the world, Liz Cheney serves as a model of political courage and leadership,” the university’s Center for Politics Director Larry Sabato declared.
The fanatical left-wing Sabato deemed Cheney a “profile in courage.”
“Liz will send a compelling message to students about integrity. She’s a true profile in courage, and she was willing to pay the price for her principles — and democracy itself,” Sabato added.
Cheney gushed over the opportunity to be a liberal college professor.
“There are many threats facing our system of government and I hope my work with the Center for Politics and the broader community at the University of Virginia will contribute to finding lasting solutions that not only preserve but strengthen our democracy,” Cheney added.
Cheney teaching at the University of Virginia is fitting as one of the prime attacks against Cheney in the primary was that she long ago left her native Wyoming to carve out a cushy life in the D.C. swamp and spend all her time in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
