Democrats are beginning to consider the unthinkable regarding the 2024 election.
All options are on the table.
And Donald Trump dropped a bombshell about Michelle Obama replacing Joe Biden.
An ABC/Washington Post poll showing Trump leading Biden by 10 points served as a bucket of cold water to the face of the Democrat Party.
While the media and Democrats falsely tried to dismiss the poll as an outlier, other polls from The Messenger and the New York Post found Trump leading Biden by three and five points respectively.
CNN, CBS and the Wall Street Journal also showed Trump leading Biden by smaller margins.
These shocking polls forced Democrats to consider for the first time since Joe Biden took office that Donald Trump could win re-election.
That realization set off absolute panic on the left.
And the resulting anxiety breathed new life into the idea of Democrats calling Michelle Obama out of the bullpen for the 2024 election.
In an interview with The National Pulse, Trump dismissed the idea of Democrats nominating the former first lady to run against him.
“I don’t see that, no,” Trump declared.
The newfound Michelle Obama 2024 speculation speaks to the predicament Democrats find themselves in.
It’s increasingly looking like Joe Biden is a weak general election candidate due to his age and the American people blaming Biden’s trillions in socialist spending for inflation.
But getting rid of Joe Biden is easier said than done.
Dumping Joe Biden means the next in line is Kamala Harris, who polling shows is the most unpopular vice president in recorded history.
Democrats can’t also just throw Kamala Harris overboard because her status as a black female grants her elevated status with the identity politics-focused liberal base.
The only Democrat that could push both Biden and Harris aside – and win a general election – is Michelle Obama.
Polls show Michelle Obama has a 77 percent approval rating and she – like her husband – could just campaign on being a political celebrity that the media pitches to voters as the epitome of royalty and celebrity coolness.
But Michelle Obama said on numerous occasions she doesn’t want to run for president.
“I don’t want to run for president,” Obama declared back in 2018.
“Just because I gave a good speech, and I’m smart and intelligent doesn’t mean I should be the next president,” Obama said a year later.
“There are so many ways to improve this country and build a better world, and I keep doing plenty of them, from working with young people to helping families lead healthier lives. But sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office will never be one of them. It’s just not for me,” Obama continued.
The only way Democrats could even dream of enticing Michelle Obama into the race is to give her the nomination by acclamation at the convention.
And even that looks like an extreme long shot.
